    Our family traveled to Grand Velas Los Cabos for four nights in February 2021. I miss is!! It was our first big trip since the pandemic. The hotel exceeded any expectation of cleanliness. Staff always masked up and we felt completely safe. The United States requires that you have a Covid test within 36 hours of returning and the hotel offered them free of charge at the hotel which was very convenient. We were blown away by the quality of the food and drinks that we enjoyed as well as the exceptional service! Being that it is an all inclusive hotel, we thought we might have to sacrifice the quality and offerings of some of the food and drinks and that was the opposite of our experience. We enjoyed too much food including Waygu beef, tomahawk steaks, oysters, lobster, ceviche and the list goes on and on. And if it’s not on the menu, they do their best to make it for you. Our son loves sushi and although it wasn’t on the menu, they made it for him and it was delicious. We ate at Velas 10 two nights because we loved it so much. We also ate at the tasting menu restaurant and the French restaurant. The food and experience at each one was some of the best we’ve had! We traveled with our 10-year-old son and six-year-old daughter who had so much fun in the pools and with the kids club staff and teens club staff. The hotel was only around 10% capacity when we went so we experienced top notch service but I have a feeling the hotel would be even more fun and have more offerings and events when more people are staying there. That being said, we were pleased with how much was available even though capacity is was required to be low we are still in a pandemic. We stayed in an Ambassador suite rooms 515 and 516. The rooms and balconies were expansive and had breathtaking views! There were so many whales the weekend that we went which is the case every winter there. My husband and I also enjoyed a couples massage at the spa. The water therapy experience they have there is unique to any other resort we have stayed at. It was one of the best spa experiences we’ve had! Our suite butlers, Diane and Carlos, were so friendly and personable. All of the staff was really respectful, attentive and kind. Our family 100% recommends this resort and are already talking about how and when we can get back!

    It was our second time staying at Grand Velas Los Cabos. We stayed for 5 nights this time and each day was surreal. The property is world class and luxurious with 5 amazing restaurants, a couple stylish bars, beautiful pools with great services, spa (highly recommend as the entire experience is out of this world with the water ceremony in the beginning), and the gym. What makes it so special about this resort is the personalized services. You truly feel valued and cared for by every staff member who works here. They remember your name and preferences so you don't even need to let them know what you want most of the time. I really want to call out the names of the staff members at the resort because they do deserve rewards for their excellence. The impressive service started with Victor, who took care of our reservation. We had worked with him 2 years ago when we first visited the resort and he immediately remembered me when I reached out to make a reservation for the second time. He is a true gem with such a professionalism and compassion. Our flight got canceled twice due to a snow storm. Victor was prompt to help us rearrange our schedule so the bad weather wouldn't ruin our vacation. We somehow made it to Cabo after a couple flight cancelations and a few new tickets, but, we found that our luggage had been lost. Ilian and Alan from the Blue Dreams were on top of everything to safely take us from the airport to the resort and helped us calm down telling us we would get our luggage back in no time. In the meantime, Rose and Laura, the Concierge crew members, helped us to rebook our restaurant reservations and helped us track our luggage. Laura told us not to worry as they would help us find it for us. After having a great dinner at Cocina de Autor, we passed out out of exhaustion. We woke up with a message from Laura that the luggage was already at the hotel in the morning! What great news and attentive service! I liked that the resort takes COVID seriously. Every staff member was wearing double masks and they took our temperature every time we got into restaurants. The guests were wearing masks and practicing social distancing, which made me feel safe and comfortable. Of course, the pool area was our favorite spot. Hugo (I love him!) and Eduardo were so wonderful at the pool making sure we get the best service possible. Hugo's humor and energy always made us laugh and put us into an even better mood. Cecilia at Cocina de Autor was so sweet to make sure we get the seat with the best view. Victor at Velas 10 was amazingly attentive even when he was very busy with (relatively) lots of customers. Miguel gave us a fun and informative tequila testing class, which I will remember for a long time. In addition, he constantly made sure we were having the best time throughout our stay with such friendly support and professionalism. We also joined a Mixology class at Cocina de Autor where Fabian was leading the session. He was humble, friendly, and caring. One of my favorite staff members was Carmen at Azul, where we had our breakfast and lunch for a few times during our stay. She always greeted us with the biggest smile and tried her best to provide outstanding service. I loved that she remembered my name the second time she saw me right away! What a smart girl! All restaurants are world class, but we also enjoyed the humble, yet beautiful Ceviche Bar for lunch. The oysters, clams, sashimi with ponzu sauce, and of course various ceviche dishes were so fresh that I felt like I couldn't stop eating! Fabian, who served us a couple times at the Ceviche bar, made us laugh so hard. He was humorous, attentive, friendly, and professional at the same time. How is it even possible to have all those traits together?! Armando (Azul and Piaf) and Sergio (KOI Bar) were also super friendly and attentive. I probably missed so many names, but I wanted to call out as many names as possible because I am so impressed with the personalized services and their friendship. Omg, I would give 6 stars if I could for Grand Velas Los Cabos. I highly recommend this resort. You've got to visit at least once in your life time! :) Thanks so much, Grand Velas, for the amazing experiece and making us feel so special.

    Grand Velas Los Cabos takes it to the next level. From the property, to the service to the food, the resort met every expectation and even 'wowed' in ways we did not expect. We've traveled all over the world and have stayed exclusively at some of the top resorts and Grand Velas is among the best we've ever stayed. Our concierge Rocio and Ricardo were fantastic and ensured our stay was everything you could imagine. Poolside, Eduardo and Hugo made sure every ask was met and made each day a breeze and fun. The entire staff, however, is next level. You really get the sense when they say they want you to have the best visit possible, they really mean it. I've never had service so good. We traveled when traveling could be worrisome because of the pandemic, but we felt totally safe and the resort made it easy to visit and travel back by providing COVID testing on site. They literally took every worry away. Restaurants were great and some of the best we've experienced at an all inclusive. I can't recommend this resort enough. I do not want to leave. We will be back and not soon enough.

    The Staff Made Our Stay Great

    The butler and waitstaff at this hotel make it an exceptional experience. Diane decorated our room for my friend's birthday and it was such an incredible surprise, and Carlos was a great help in setting up our excursions and other logistical arrangements. Dinner was special every night and the waitstaff went above and beyond; making sure we had great drinks and enjoyed our food without being intrusive. Perhaps this was because of COVID, but here were a few miscommunications amongst the front desk staff -- for example an appointment that was made through the front desk staff was never passed along to the concierge, resulting in a 30 minute wait while they figured out what happened. Also, we were asked about allergies and food preferences at check-in, but we still had to communicate this every time we went to dinner. We were fine with it, but seems unnecessary if there was a better communication system for this. The cleaning staff was amazing, the room was always immaculate; although management should consider adding some variety in the treat that is left at turndown service -- we got the same one every night.
