Went in January to Iberostar Grand after reading lots of reviews. It was the best choice we ever made!!! We were greated at the entrance and our luggage was unloaded from the bus. We were taken to the front desk to check in. After checking we were greated by concierge and were given all options available in the resort. Several minutes later we were escorted to our room. Every one at front desk and concierge was smiling and absolutely polite. Our room was spacious and impeccably cleane with plenty of towels, full minibar that had different choices of drinks, peanuts, chocolate and coffee. Bed was extremely comfortable. We had a balcony that was big and had a couch and a swing with plenty of pillows. Couldn't ask for a better accommodations!!! All staff members at all times were extremely helpful and friendly, everywhere. Food: buffet was implacable so so many choices and absolutely delicious. We tried different foods and I am pescatarian and my boyfriend eats everything and nothing but compliments , same goes for a beach buffet. We were impressed with quality, diversity and amounts of food!!! We also went to restaurants except Asian and surf and turf was the best! We ordered room service several times and again quality was superb. Bar in the lobby was excellent as well with so many choices of brand liquors and good cocktails and again all bartenders were welcoming and served you with pleasure. Beach bar was good and service was quick. Ladies that served drinks on the beach were prompt and never screwed up our orders. don't think I have enough words to describe food!!! We didn't care about entertainment but we did see a concert on the beach and we liked it. The only thing g that bothered us was the fact that you had to get up very early in the morning to get a beach chair with umbrella, by 8am all were taken. Beach was clean and water was of amazing color. We are planning to come back in april because we loved our stay from a to z!!!

So I recently stayed at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall beach for a week with close family and friends. The view from my hotel room was beautiful. It was a ocean view suite and my wife and I loved it. The food was great! I really loved the Japanese place so much I went twice. The grounds were kept neat and clean. I never had to wake up at 6 am like some reviews said to get chairs. We traveled with a party of 18 people and we all found chairs together around 8-9 am after breakfast. THE ENTERTAINMENT STAFF WAS AMAZING!!! SHOUT OUT TO COOKIE, SPARKLE, CHOCOLATE, ROMAINE, STRINGBEAN, AND MY BARTENDER SONNY & DEAN!!! These people made our trip AWESOME!!! You want people to remember your name and drink? Talk to them !! The only thing that pissed me off the whole trip was a drunk guy from Canada that threw up in my shoes. Then avoided me the whole rest of the trip. That's neither here nor there...The entertainment staff is what made our trip. I would come back solely for them ! From the DC crew … Justin & Britt

We went for a friend’s wedding over Valentine’s Day weekend. I’m not a fan of all inclusive places cause they usually have bad food, so I kept my expectation low on that front, and Iberostar delivered even lower than what I expected. We stayed at the suites. Room was okay. They couldn’t find a room for my husband and I with a king bed even though we paid extra for a direct beach view. Huh? Isn’t this a big place? I asked to be moved the next day when a room became available and no one ever got back to me. The front desk told me they would combine the double beds in the room for my husband and I to sleep together and no one ever showed to do that. The rooms were old with clear signs of a botched up repaint job. Room smelled like mold and weird chemicals upon walking in and I had to air it out. You know the quality you’re getting when you walk into a hotel and the electrical outlets are mounted on so they aren’t perpendicular to the floor. Food was terrible. We suspect much of the meat needed better refrigeration and was starting to turn. Steak dinner had funny tasting meat, tho cooked to the right temp. Hotdogs were shaped like, but didn’t taste anything like. Everything had way too much salt. Salad fruit were mostly wilting everywhere I had it. The hummus from room service came with pita bread that could’ve been hockey pucks. Lasagna came cold and meat in it smelled like old socks. We did have one good dish at the Mediterranean restaurant that was a risotto. Go there and skip the rest. The buffet had slim pickings of decent food, but also a good bet as you will always find something bearable. Service was generally average too poor. Everyone tried to be nice, but I don’t think they truly understand what good service means....like we were gonna spend 90 USD on a bottle of scotch at the lobby bar to bring to my friends room for pre wedding shots (even tho it’s all inclusive), the bar staff could not give us a taste of it before we buy. We had to wait 20 mins for the manager to come and settle it. Sigh...like it said they tried, but it’s not really possible cuz the rules are restrictive to work here and does not enable staff to be nice to guests. For about $500 a night for a room, I would stay elsewhere with better food and service. I may have overpaid cuz it was a wedding, but I wouldn’t pay less to come back either.

    Excellent food and beach vibe!

Stayed here as 2 couples for a week in spring. Rooms dark and dated but huge! Service was excellent everywhere in the hotel and butlers were very helpful. Food was perfect and loved the gin menu! Great pool and sun loungers , felt very pampered! Only thing we didn’t like was the hard sell on their timeshare scheme- really spoilt the experience and felt very unnecessary.
