Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello

Beautiful property and just absolute great service the whole way through. A definite must stay and experience! The staff have great customer service, and the room service food was delicious. Must be a yearly trip now.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning setting. Large rooms with views of the river. Great staff. Excellent amenities. We went snow shoeing and dog sledding. Take advantage of the dog sledding...you won't find this option too many places!

Spent 3 nights in December for my birthday and this hotel completely exceeded our expectations. Service is above and beyond, from the moment you pull up to get your temperature check, to the kind bellhops, the front desk staff, the room service staff, our amazing restaurant server (Evangeline, I think her name was) and our fantastic concierge Anne, who all went above & beyond. Thank you. The pictures of the hotel is what captured our interest and it was as beautiful as we hoped. We spent every night reading in the lobby in awe of the craftsmanship. We took advantage of curling and sadly there was no snow, so all the other activities we had planned weren't available. We stayed in the corner suite, Margaret Thatcher's room, and it was part of the old section which we loved for its charm. The walls are thin and unfortunately we were surrounded by the loudest family. Again, thank you to Anne for mitigating this situation and calming our emotions, not allowing this to take away form our experience. Dining was fantastic, although closed now, and our server was so personable and friendly. She made sure my 40th birthday was celebrated every night and I was so thankful. Food was consistently delicious both lunch and dinner. We can't wait to return to experience summer here and create more memories!!

Only down side is only room service is accessible (which I understand). But, it’s real expensive ...like 18$ for a poutine. Ouch. My recommendation is bring your booze and your food. There is a small fridge in the room. Overall amazing place with beautiful sceneries <3 Bring your skates Hey!

Chateau Montebello has been on my list of must stay for decades. Given the pandemic keeping me close to home, we spent 5 days in September at this spectacular resort. Authentic, genine, unassuming and yet extraordinary. Certainly our experience was muted due to some services and areas not open but we loved every moment. The hotel is historic beautiful, the grounds are enchanting and the staff went out of their way to be of service and friencly. The icing on the cake is dogs are allowed. We took full advantage of their Natue Reserve Kenauk Nature. We felt perfectly safe as the staff were stringent about the protocols.
