Everything you want in a couples resort

As a returning guest we are always pleasantly impressed at the attention to details of this resort. They get so many things right and the staff is always fantastic! We loved the couples massage and Petulia and Patrina were especially great. The towel art in our room is such an elegant touch. The Housekeeping comes daily and provides plenty of towels. The food is consistently good with lots of choices. The Chefs Showcase is especially good! The beach is perfect and not overcrowded at all. The Lifeguards assist you in getting a cabana space and fresh towels. Being right next to The Office of Nature and shopping at Tomei Village is a plus. We will be back next year!

The resort is beautiful, lush greenery, vibrant flowers, and adorable wildlife. Our deluxe king room was decked out in rustic dark woods with contrasting linens and an array of pillow options. We had a mini fridge in our room that was restocked daily with soda, water, and red stripe. There was ample room in the closet and the bathroom was much bigger than expected. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the large balcony. Service was impeccable! Our concierge helped us book a few excursions, including transportation, while we were there and dinner reservations were already made for us upon arrival. We truly didn’t have to worry about a thing other than taking in sunshine. Every staff member we met were friendly, personable, and helpful… but I must give a shoutout to Bianca, Tedisha, and Shanika. They went above and beyond to make us feel like apart of the Sunset family! Thank you so much! The food was some of the best we’ve had at an all-inclusive. We dined at the breakfast and dinner buffets where traditional Jamaican food could be found alongside other specialties. We enjoyed it all, but look for the Jamaican signs and try something new! It was all delicious. We also dined at the Lotus Leaf Restaurant one night and were invited to participate in their Chef’s Showcase dinner another night. Both had romantic settings and spectacular food. The private beach is located across the street, but it’s not a far walk at all. The resort has a crossing guard ready to assist, as well as a restaurant, bar, and bathrooms right there. So everything is only steps away. They provide towels and chairs, and there’s plenty of room to relax either in the sun or shade. It’s a fantastic beach, too! The sand is soft and the blue water is calm and shallow. After walking the beach, I feel pretty confident in saying it’s the most idyllic spot in the area. A few things to note: 1. The crickets are unusual. Out first night, we noticed a consistent beeping sound outside and after an hour, we called the front desk to let them know. They immediately sent someone to help us locate it. To our embarrassment, it was a cricket. Ha! They did not keep us awake or anything, just wanted to give a heads up. 2. Go on a few excursions, but do double check the travel times to them. They are totally worth it, but some can be as far as a 2 hour car ride away. 3. Get to know the locals. We asked so many questions and learned tons about their beautiful island and culture. And, in doing so, we met the most amazing people! We have found our spot and are already planning a return trip in 2025!
