We booked this hotel as part of a package to Disneyland through Costco, they are a "partner" of Disneyland Hotels. I will first start off by saying that each employee we encountered on our trip was VERY friendly and helpful, so they definitely do well in that department...oh and the beds are very comfortable as well! The part where they lack, and a the reasons we will never be back to this hotel are for the following reasons: 1.) Self parking is $20/night or $26/night for valet. We choose to self park. However, this they do not have a luggage cart you can use, only the people who valet and/or use their bellhop get the carts! There was a wedding going on at this time so we had to park in BFE and lug all our luggage to the rooms without a cart...not fun or easy! 2.) The buffet breakfast is $18/pp for a BASIC buffet you get FREE at places like Embassy Suites 3.) No mircorwaves in the rooms...no problem...let me walk my butt down to the lobby to use theirs...NOPE...you can RENT one for $10/day! Yup, RENT A MICROWAVE to reheat food I have already overpaid for around the resort area! 4.) No free shuttle to Disneyland, which we knew but it is $6/per adult and $3/child per day! So another cost...and their shuttle drivers are NOT very friendly at all! All in all when we go to these resort areas we expect there to be higher cost of things, what we don't expect and/or appreciate is the BASICS being extra. It's things like that either get you repeat or one time only guests!

Watch Out For the Shower Wand!

This hotel is just a standard hotel, not bad, but not great either. I stayed here years ago when it was a Crowne Plaza and decided to stay here again now that the hotel is under the Marriott umbrella. My biggest issue with our room was the shower. The bathroom and shower was very modern with chrome hardware. I did not realize that the shower had a rectangular shower wand in addition to the shower head. Unfortunately, housekeeping had the shower wand pointing towards outside of the shower rather pointing inside. When I turned on the shower for the first time during my stay, the shower wand with excellent shower pressure, shot hot water straight into my eyes (very dangerous), face and drenched my shirt. I was not pleased. Housekeeping should be cognizant to make sure that shower head is always turned into the shower so this does not happen to any guests. I attached pictures of the shower hardware to provide a visual of what to look for. Additionally, the shower dripped our entire stay. The drip in the shower was so loud that we could hear it outside the bathroom. We ended up placing a towel directly under the drip our entire stay to mask the sound. There was a mini-fridge and a decent size TV in the room. My kid was very happy that he was able to watch YouTube on the TV. During our whole entire stay, we were never able to connect to the free hotel wifi. Lastly, the walk to self-parking was far and not very convenient. We had an average stay. There is nothing really bad about this hotel but this hotel will probably not our first choice hotel in the Disneyland area.

Fantastic customer service stands out from the moment you check-in to check-out. Room was big, and seemed recently renovated. It was a little further from Disneyland, then what I am used to. They had a shuttle that ran every 30 min that was very convenient. Simply buy a ticket at the electronic kiosk in the lobby. ($6 adult, $3 kids- covers the whole day, to and from rides) It drops you at the A1 hotel shuttle stop, which is very close to the gates. In my opinion the convenience of a 10 min shuttle ride versus a 10 min walk from a closer hotel was about the same. They had valet parking, if you choose to drive. Across the parking lot were four restaurants, which made it very convenient to call in orders, and walk over to pick up after a long day at the parks. Mini fridge in room, but no microwave. Great stay!
