We stayed at the Sheraton Anaheim for three nights as part of a multi-city trip down the West Coast and if I could award half stars, it would certainly be a 3.5. If you are looking to spend most of your time in and around Disneyland and don’t need anything too flashy, then I’d certainly recommend staying here. Located around 35 miles from Los Angeles airport (around 50 minute drive without traffic), the hotel has a large car park costing $27 per night. We booked as part of a package holiday through Virgin which included discounted parking for $12 per night which was a great bonus. I’m not sure how much a pre-booked shuttle or taxi would be, however we rented a car which seemed the best option. The hotel reception is well presented, with plenty of seating and a small bar (which did show English football!) The staff were incredibly helpful on arrival and were happy for us to check in later in the day as we wanted to wait for a Disney facing room to become available (well worth asking as you can watch the fireworks from your balcony!) There is also a Disney ticket desk in the reception area where you can purchase tickets for various durations. The lady on the desk was great and sorted our tickets within a couple of minutes, which saved us queuing in Disney itself. We also used the cafe and shop in the hotel which offers breakfast muffins for around $8, so pretty reasonable. The rooms are very spacious with two comfortable queen beds and a balcony with table and chairs, however are quite dated. The bathroom was the biggest disappointment and certainly needs refurbishing, however as long as you aren’t expecting 5* facilities, it’s more than fine for a short stay. The room had the usual amenities, but our safe didn’t seem to have any power so we were unable to use this. The pool area is great which includes an outdoor heated pool (very cold in December!), jacuzzi, pool bar (wasn’t open) and large chess game. The pool is open from 7am to 10pm which was perfect after a long day of walking. Disneyland itself is around a 15 minute walk and has access to both parks and Downtown Disney. There is also a smaller strip called Garden Walk around 5/10 minute walk from the hotel which has a variety of restaurants (Bubba Gump, House of Blues etc.) and a cinema. Not the most amazing stay I’ve ever had at a hotel, however it’s a value for money option that is perfect for Disneyland goers!

The staff and grounds really make this hotel

Sheraton Park at Anaheim Resort has beautiful large grounds with a lot of outdoor garden seating areas where you can sit away from traffic, parked cars, and the general noise of Anaheim. The staff is very nice, especially the gentlemen at the Guest Services counter -they are always all about helping you out. The rooms are pretty basic but nice with very comfy beds and nice linens. My room had a refrigerator, flat screen tv, hair dryer, and single serve coffee maker -no microwave. The single serve coffee is stocked with half-a-pot Starbucks packs, so it makes an overly strong cup of coffee. The balcony on my room faced Disney, so I could see the Disney Christmas fireworks show every evening at 9:30. The location is super convenient to walk to Disney and to the Anaheim convention center, as well as to coffee shops and restaurants -all walking distance. The water pressure in the shower was iffy, with a stuttering shower head and a slow drain in the tub, as well as a drippy tub faucet. There is a bar in the outdoor pool area, but I never saw it open, maybe it’s seasonal. I would stay here again.

    Another brilliant stay!

This was our second visit this year, we liked the hotel so much we booked to come back to celebrate my 30th Birthday. Check in was quick and easy and we had a Disney view room on a high floor. The staff had very kindly left a bottle of Prosecco and balloons in my room which was a lovely extra touch so thank you very much! The rooms are comfortable and clean (housekeeping did a great job) the beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable after a long day at Disney! Yes you can’t control the temperature of the AC but we didn’t have any issues with the temperature of the room. We used the gift shop to get breakfast and coffees in the morning and even tried a pizza one night when we got back late from Disney, the service was great and the food is really good! The location of the hotel is brilliant and a short 10 (if that) minute walk to Disney! I would not hesitate to book this hotel again, we love it! The service, staff, we have zero complaints! I’m always recommending this hotel to friends and family. Thank you for another great stay, I’m sure I will be returning to Anaheim again and I’ve no doubt about where I will stay!

The people definitely make this hotel! The customer service was top notch. The lobby area is very welcoming and appealing. I loved the fruit infused water. My first room smelled like staleness and/or stinky feet! Here are my Hits and Misses: Hits: Comfortable beds, very soft pillows, nice balcony rooms, location is superb, a lot of restaurants and shops in walking distance, close walk to convention center, clean grounds, and small fridge in room. Misses: Mold in the shower on the ceiling, Stale smelling room, outdated decor, dark earth tones (turn on all the lights for a better ambiance), charger block sometimes does not work (I woke up to find that my phone never charged on numerous occasions), Savor restaurant should be named Shoney's (food was just okay, sticky feel), sliding glass mirror closet (so outdated and off the track), A/C unit too loud, can't control A/C unit temperature, and just overall outdated. Again, all of the people who work here should be recognized for their above and beyond customer service. This hotel needs a makeover. I more than likely would not stay here again if I can find something with a more up to date look.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights back in August, and had a great stay. The Sheraton had a great rate of less then a $100 for the night, and we decided to beat the Phoenix heat, and stay in Anaheim for 2 nights. The rooms were comfortable, modern and had a balcony which was nice to enjoy in the evening. Tip: Be sure to request a room facing Disney so you can see the fireworks at night over the park on your balcony. Speaking of Disney, you are basically walking distance (within .5 mile) from the park. The hotel does charge a bit for parking, but I enjoyed being so close to the park, and not having to hassle with traffic into the park. The hotel also had a nice pool to utilize which we also used while we stayed here. Where the trip was a quick 2 days, we are glad we made the trip to this Sheraton, and if we are staying in the area in the future, we will consider staying here again!
