We loved our studio at Kidani Village. The balcony overlooked the Savannah which was so peaceful. We have stayed at several Disney properties, and although this one is a little bit farther from the parks, we felt this property was quieter and more peaceful then others. I would definitely stay again and would recommend for couples or others looking for a bit more laid back experience.

I am a DVC member and was really looking forward to staying here. The resort is gorgeous. We had a one bedroom villa. It had a lot of room and I love the bathroom! The lobby was very pretty. There were 3 things that really disappointed me. First off we were supposed to have a Savannah View room. The room we got was not on the main savannah. Our view was of a fenced in area that had the same 10 animals on it the whole visit. Second the walk to get to our room was horrible. We had to walk down the equivalent of 8 hallways. The last thing you want after a long day at the parks is to have to walk 8 hallways back to your room. Third the buses to and from the parks are horrible. We waited at least 40 minutes for every bus minus the ones going to Animal Kingdom which came every 5 minutes. I have stayed at many resorts and never had such a bad experience with buses. It was so bad that we gave up on the buses and started getting a Lyft everywhere. If you are just planning on staying at your resort or just going to Animal Kingdom then this would be the perfect resort for you. Otherwise I would highly suggest staying at one of the other amazing resorts on property!!

My wife and I spent 3 days at Kidani we stayed in a savanna view studio room using Disney Vacation Club points. For this visit we used Disney transportation both to and from the Airport and to the parks. We really enjoyed sitting on our balcony with coffee or a glass of wine watching the animals. The DVC studio is really a hotel room and was nice for the 2 of us. I believe it would be tight if we had our girls on this trip and I would not want to stuff 4 adults into the room. We had a mini fridge, toaster, microwave and coffee pot in the room. We took the disney dining plan on this trip and ate all of our meals in the bubble. We had a very nice dinner at Saana and a surprising good meal at the character buffet at tusker house in animal kingdom park. The only advice I'd offer by way of caution has to do with the airport transfer using the magic express. our flight arrived around 9pm and we foolishly elected to use disney's baggage handling option. We should have collected our bags and put them on the bus with us. Our bags were finally delivered to our room around 1 am. This is really just sharing a poor choice on my part rather than a criticism of the service. I would happily use the service again when arriving earlier in the day.

We stayed in Kidani Village in the Rafiki section on the 5th floor with a Savanna view. Our DVC room was a two bedroom lock-off that accommodated 7 people (4 adults, 3 kids) comfortably. We had a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer and 3 full bathrooms. The largest bedroom had a king bed, the smaller bedroom had a queen bed and hide-abed. The living room had 2 hide-beds. We were a 2 minute walk to the Kidani Village reception area that has a small store and we were adjacent the Kidani pool area. Our savanna view was nice but we didn’t get many animals in our section. The animals mainly stay to the main lodge where they get fed. I’d suggest asking for a room on the lower floors as it’s difficult to see animals past the tops of the trees. The Kidani pool was great, lots of seating, a fun water slide and splash area. We also enjoyed the pool games the staff set up for the kids. The Jambo House has a bigger pool, bigger store and more restaurants. It’s to far to walk to from Kidani Village but there’s plenty of parking out front. The hotel has a fun and educational game where you can earn beads by participating in scheduled events throughout both hotels. It’s free and our party of 7 enjoyed discovering and learning about the animals at Animal Kingdom. The staff were absolutely fantastic throughout our 9 night stay and we enjoyed every minute. We typically drove to the parks each day because it’s free to park for Disney hotel guests but one of our party used the Disney bus to get back to the hotel and found it to be easy and quick. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

I was excited to stay at this hotel and was willing to pay the extra cash to stay by the animals. The lobby staff were super nice and helpful. We walked along way to get to our room. I mean LONG to get to our room. Nothing bad about the room but not great for the price. It looked on on a pretty bleak scrubby savanna. The bathroom was fine just looked wore out.. Room service was decent and expensive. I did like that the had a full size coffee pot. I saw most of the animals by the lobby. Fine stay just not the quality of a 400 dollar plus room.
