After reading reviews, I was a bit hesitant to stay at this hotel. I went with my gut and stayed anyway and I'm glad that I did. From check-in, the attendant was warm and welcoming. The room was nice and cozy. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite and enjoyed it. We had everything that we needed in our suite and didnt need anything from room service. There is a $15 parking fee but it wasnt a surprise since its posted on the website. This hotel is nearly 5-15 mins from Seaworld, Universal Studios, International Drive and several outlets.
Adult hairs, questionable beds stains, and broken AC
Reviewed by OpenRoad2021() on Mar 31, 2021
Residence Inns are typically nice, but this one was definitely lacking in a few areas. After a shower I nearly dried my face on a towel with several adult hairs. I requested fresh ones from room service and the attended seemed surprise but neglected to notice another adult hair right on the topmost fresh replacement towels being delivered. Third times the charm; another set was delivered (or perhaps the hairs were removed in hallway). During this time I had an issue with our AC. It took two days to resolve. All this got me wanting to inspect the room more. I flipped up the sheets to reveal two very questionable mattresses with stains. I mentioned this to the front desk and they were only willing to comp. the parking. Disappointed. There are certainly better places nearby for the same price.
Just ok

Our family stayed here because it is halfway between Universal and Disney and we were visiting both parks. The breakfast had a few choices - coffee, juice, eggs, cereal, yogurt, bread, and fruit. Most guests followed COVID guidelines. The pool was nice for cooling off after a day at the parks. However, vendors that were in the area and recommended by the hotels front desk staff repeatedly offended guests. A pizza delivery took over two hours, but we still tipped 20%, and the next day we woke up to angry text messages full of swears from the delivery person. We would wait 20 minutes for an Uber, then watch the drivers drive up to gatehouse on the other side of the hotel parking lot, stop and cancel the trip, and drive away. I’ve never had anything like those events happen before, and it out a bit if a damper on the trip. It seemed the hotel has a poor reputation among local businesses. With so many hotels to choose from, we will not stay there again.

We'd planned on staying here while we visited SeaWorld but found out that there's a $15. per ight charge for parking. I called to find out if it was waived for Platinum Bonvoy and it is not- we'll stay elsewhere.
Great Pool, but Awful Weekday Breakfast During Covid Times
Reviewed by emsiess(Cleveland, Ohio) on Feb 06, 2021
Loved the one bedroom room with 2 TVs, overlooked the pool, and the pool was great except that it did not open until after 9AM, I like to swim early with no kids around and the pool padlocked for early entry is just wrong. Water was warm, and the whirlpool worked and was open and was great when open. The weekend breakfast was also very good where you go through the line and the staff places your hot breakfast into containers and bags and you take back to your room. Very good selection and it worked. The weekday breakfast was horrible, all pre-packaged things, nothing hot with lots of preservatives....and very long lines and long wait times since there is just a single window, just not efficient and not very good. What a difference. I did not like that coffee and tea were only served during 2 hours every morning in the lobby, other Residence have 24 hour in the lobby. Hotel advertises gas grills, great, but they don't work. Had to wait 40 minutes for a staff person to show up and start a grill. They have 3 grills and none of them worked without significant staff cleaning. I had to go the desk twice and ask for help and was told they only have one staff person. The other thing I despise are resort fees, this hotel does not state it has them, but has a mandatory $14 per day parking fee. Yes, the lot is sealed and requires a hotel key most of the time for entry, but this fee for this area is not reasonable nor necessary, You cannot walk to sea world, so a pay lot here makes no sense. Build the price of parking into your rate. A 20% parking fee is obscene for this rural area. The hotel has one laundry room, could be quite a hike if your room is high and far from the lobby area. Machines were old, fees high again $2 a wash and $2 a dry plus purchase of detergent. The room was clean and things worked as designed, masks required in the hotel, but no one really policed this policy.
