Monday-Saturday stay. The first night our air conditioner made an awful racket, finally went and complained and the front desk person had to turn off the de-humifier on the unit. Said they would repair the next day, nobody came by the room to fix it the next 5 days. Day 2 there was a total power outage and having people locked in the elevator and firefighters trying to save them was stressful, their kitchen staff was yelling at people because they didn't want to let people have access to the breakfast area with the power outage. Saturday night I walked out to get a toothpaste/brush as I'd run out and the front desk agent was agitated/(shook up is what I later determined) on the phone. She was quietly talking about 3 black men stealing something and asked me to wait a few minutes to be helped. (reasonable, nice, actively told me she planned to help me but could have said I'll need to come back just as easily.) There were a couple other guests young teenage girls who arrived after me needing towels. After 5 or 10 minutes a mother came down freaking out about their daughter being missing and instructed the teens as she ran out the door that there was a shooter at the hotel and they ran off. (A chance for education, if the front desk knows that's faulty information they should be loudly countering that message from the distraught mother.) At this point there was another gentleman who had wandered in from smoking now hanging out in the lounge area 10 feet away so I asked him if he knew if anything was going on because your agent was still on the phone talking animatedly. The gentleman assured me that he thought it was just teenagers and no shooter that he'd seen while smoking outside, at this point site security guards rushed in yelling and first ordered me out of the hotel. Now I'm traveling with my 2 year old and wife so I wasn't going to be abandoning them and negotiated them into my returning to my room. At this point we didn't know whether there was a shooter or what was going on and people who stuck their heads out from the commotion were being instructed to go back into their room. I determined that it couldn't be too much to concerned about ~12:30-1:00AM because we only had a few cops taping off things outside and while there was a police helicopter keeping us up more people were not showing up. We finally fell asleep before they stopped telling people to return to their rooms. The next morning I asked the front desk and they claimed to know nothing which is improbable, a better response would be to outline what happened and how the hotel managed the situation because she wasn't particularly polite about the denial. Finally, the poor front desk agent was pretty overwhelmed, I don't know what happened but people yelling about shooters is highly disturbing and if she felt unsafe it would have been great for her to simply ask myself and the other gentleman to stick around until the police show up, I'm still upset at how the security team handled the situation. After I contacted the hotel I get a "Sorry not sorry" response from the management, it resulted in my cancelling the stay the next weekend and moving to another hotel. Other comments, the splash pad is broken and not working. They have major construction going on where its a bit harder to access things but pools are still available. Don't stay on the high floors, they have no backup generators if the power goes out so you'll be stuck on the very slow elevators.

Prior to purchasing in the area, Spring Hill was out base. Large room, clean. good breakfast included. Staff was very pleasant during more than one stay. I would like them to change their heat/air control to be able to shut off the fan, you can control the temperature, but not the blower

I always try to stay at a Springhill Suites whenever I travel. I have always been very happy with the brand. I like the price, cleanliness, and the included free breakfast. However, this time the breakfast had issues. I am not picky and understand that free breakfasts can be crowded...been there, done that. But this was out of hand. There was little restocking of items. There wasn't even restocking of regular sugar for the coffee. The few spoons left were stained with syrup. There was a LONG line of people waiting for potatoes and other breakfast food to be restocked. They stood and stood there for a long time. I know of some people that didn't get to eat anything more than cereal and a cold bagel. The toaster wasn't working. All this was happening at a regular hour, though we were there early. I think breakfast is way too understaffed here. This is the only Springhill Suites where I've seen this happen. The good part is that this location had an extremely friendly, helpful, and professional front desk staff. Also, the rooms were clean.

Average. Except , they shipped my clothes that they finally found , to the wrong address. This was at the end of September 2018 , it is now the end of December of 2018 , and I'm still trying to take care of this. $200 worth of clothes and nobody will help out.

I made reservations for a one night stay using my reward points. I called on the 13th of November to confirm my reservation for the 14th of November. I told the young lady that it would be after midnight and could I check in. I was told yes and that it would not be an extra charge. I get there between 1am and 2 am. The lady at the desk informed me that I would have to pay because I checked in to early. I informed her that I called to confirm and was told it was not a charge or a problem. The lady told me that in was miss in formed and I would have to pay and I was charged 110.00 plus an extra 70.00 totaling 180.00 mind you I hand used reward points for the night. She said they don't count the 14th until after 5 in the am. I left a bad review on their website and was told they were sorry and that I would get a full refund. Well I didn't . I was only refunded 55.00 of the 180.00. I was lied too and mislead. I didn't have a lot of money because I had to pay for my treatment and to pay twice for the same room was to much.
