Just came back from Palladium Bavaro. In general it was a beautiful vacation. Very nice resort. Beautiful and very well maintained grounds. Rooms spacious and very nice. Staff helpful and try their best although obviously short staffed, especially at the restaurants. On the other side, there are areas that need improvement, mainly from the management side. Check in is very slow. Non of our requests that were sent by the travel agent were respected. That was couple of months before arrival. An email was also sent to Anja Grim, to which she responded. Restaurants are crowded at meal time, mainly because only one restaurant per resort section is open at each meal. Staff were not able to provide timely service. They seemed overwhelmed, obviously short staffed. I believe that this could affect the hygiene. Actually in our group we had food poisoning and gastrointestinal issues. This is our main issue with this resort. Room service do respond, however after at least 3 calls. There is plenty of food choices. No one would leave hungry. Whether good or not, this is personal choice. Those issues did not ruin our vacation, we really had a great time and enjoyed every moment. Would we go back to this resort? probably we will , although not our first choice as we have been to better ones.

Here is my honest review: We stayed in the Bávaro section for six nights 1- Grounds were beautiful and well maintained 2- Beach was gorgeous. It is difficult to find chairs later in the day, I’d recommend getting there early, it’s definitely worth it 3- Property was huge with many different options. There’s ample transportation throughout the resort if you have difficulty walking but I can see how this could be overwhelming for some 4- Food was ok. The buffet in the Bavaro section was definitely sub-par compared to the other buffets. It was difficult to get a cup of coffee in the morning. Staff seemed burned out. Las Torres buffet was a lot better, staff were more on point. The specialty restaurants were ok. El Dorado was disappointing but I doing the Indian restaurant to be surprisingly good 5- Pools were great, tons of options and the bartenders were awesome 6- Nightime entertainment was ok. There’s definitely a lot going on if you’re interested the various shows and activities 7- Rooms need updating but housekeeping did a good job 8- Our room was too hot - 78 degrees - too hot for us to sleep in after sitting all day in the sun. It was a 48 hour battle for us to get this resolved which definitely took away from our time. We were very frustrated and disappointed. The maintenance staff kept claiming they fixed our AC but they did nothing. I had to nearly beg to get our room switched after spending hours with the maintenance staff and front desk. Overall I’d say this is a decent place for the money but personally I’d spend a little more next time to go somewhere with better service. I think the positive and negative reviews that have been posted all have validity. It’s a nice place if you don’t run into issues.

Just got back! Was there from April 4th-9th. It was a great trip loved everything about it , the only thing I could not get reservations at any of the restaurants. Pedro at the pool for aerobics and dance lessons was great! Recommended this hotel 5/5!

Excellent facilities, most beautiful beach I have ever been to, best pools and overall a great resort. Went with family and friends for my birthday celebration. Pros- Huge property (pro for me) very well Maintained lawns/facilities and a convenient shuttle system, readily available always with no more than 5 mins wait. Tons of bars and food options, always available within 5 mins of walk from anywhere on the resort. Pools and beach had always enough loungers for everyone with no need to rush in morning to reserve ( this is normally a big issue on most resorts, not here) . Food was over all good, Best food we had was at Argentinian restaurant followed by Mexican. Behique was the best buffet. Kids loved the ice cream bar and we loved that it was next to best pool where we mostly lounged. Coffee shop at Palace lobby served excellent cold and hot coffee and the two lady Baristas there were super helpful and friendly. Cons- Rooms need to be updated and fixed, this would be the only show stopper for us to come back in future. Indian and Chinese restaurants are an easy miss, specially Indian restaurant needs to work on the food and variety though great decor. Overall we all thought majority of servers and bartenders across all buffets and bars seemed not happy to help ( few exceptions were there), either they are not being kept happy or need more training. Exceptional service provided by one of the supervisors - Lusidania who was literally helping us every day with our reservations and questions, kudos to her ! Overall, we had an excellent vacation , small hiccups are in every resort, we mostly had positive and happy experience, will be happy to come back.

Stay away!! Im Dominican leaving in the US for the last 25 years and to me is a desgracie to be in a place like this . Rooms very outdated and im paying for a premium room ( love garden room) and even with all the extras is just the worst experience I have had in Punta Cana. What made it even worse is that they know the problem and do not care about it. Very poor customer service. Look at different options, you will thank me later!
