We had fun but disappointed........

For this family of 3 the Hard Rock was a mediocre experience that wasn’t worth the price we paid. We have stayed at other all inclusives and Hard Rock Punta Canta was a huge disappointment. The food was average for all-inclusive. The grounds, beaches and pools were beautiful. We had paid for the Diamond upgraded room. The room was fairly nice and had a partial ocean view but our balcony was right next to a building that they store trash in so the smell was really terrible at times. Really took away from using the balcony. Most of the staff was nice but not the the level of service that we expected for a "five star resort." At least 40% of the resort is under construction. This means constant jackhammering, hammering, grinding all over the resort. I realize they need to improve but could be done in sections rather all over the resort. But, they need to focus on the run down areas (and there is a lot) rather than expanding. Bottom line, I’ve been at many other all-inclusives,for less cost, with more included. I expected more out of Hard Rock and it didn’t deliver. Definitly not a five star resort, more of a three star resort. (and you cannot blame everything on Covid) The kids program was great with our daughter and she had a lot of fun there. So that was a definite plus!
Hard Rock Experience

We visited Hard Rock from April 3rd to April 10th and had a wonderful time. We upgraded our room after the first night only to be closer to the beach. Edgar (aka John Legend) assisted us in the upgrade and we paid extra for the personal assistant which was worth every penny. Our assistant Carlos saved us seats every day at the beach and pool, booked our reservations at all the restaurants and ensured we had everything we needed. He even got us a bottle of rum and was in the bell boy car with us when we were brought to the lobby for checkout. He truly ensured we had the best experience from beginning to end. The best breakfast was at Isla as we had omelettes and fresh fruit every day. The beach was beautiful and clean. Most of the vendors are respectful and leave you alone once you say “no thanks” but there were a couple overly pushy ones which made us want to go to the pool. The Drum pool had the best service. Santa and Denny ensured our cups were never empty. The only reason I rated 4 rather than 5 is because it’s not truly “all inclusive”. We’ve been to properties in Dominican where we didn’t have to pay extra for lobster or mini golf. The bowling was fun but was ten dollars per person per game. The Bruno Mars show was the best of all the shows we saw. We are looking forward to returning again next year.
Great resort!

We loved the Hard Rock Punta Cana. We were there for my daughter’s Senior Trip with some other girls and their moms and we had a blast! There are many choices of restaurants and great entertainment. Our butler Carlos was outstanding and made our trip completely worry free. If you are thinking of getting a butler, be sure to request Carlos...you’ll be glad you did!

Just left a week in paradise. Resort was clean and we felt very safe. Staff was awesome. They went out of their way to make sure we felt like rock stars. Samuel out butler was wonderful would highly recommend him for your visit. He took care of dinner reservations, activities, beach chairs and much more. All in all wonderful week. Coming back in September.
Good not great

For this family of 4 (2adults, a 17 and 14 yr old), Hard Rock was a middle of the road experience that wasn’t worth the price we paid. The positives. The food was above average for all-inclusive. The grounds, beaches and pools were beautiful. Our room was dated but acceptable. Most of the staff was very accommodating. The negatives. At least 50% of the resort is under construction. This means constant jackhammering, hammering, grinding all over the resort. I realize they need to improve but could be done in sections rather all over the resort. Everything besides the food and drink is extra.. all activities, golf carts, everything and the prices were not reasonable. The vacation planners are there to get you reservations to dinner but also to get you booked for additional excursions or a timeshare sales pitch. Bottom line, I’ve been at many other all-inclusives,for less cost, with more included. I expected more out of Hard Rock and it didn’t deliver.
