We were quite anxious about staying here due to previous reviews and it would be fair to say that most (of the negative ones) we found to be accurate during our 14 night stay. The hotel is beautiful however, stunning. It is clean and well presented and absolutely looks like a 5 star hotel. The pools are superb- better than anywhere else we stayed. However, this was pretty much where the positives ended for us. Sadly, the service does not live up to its 5 star title. Staff are rude and abrupt and do not make any effort to go out of their way for guests. We are English and found on several occasions staff just walked off when we tried to speak with them once they realised we did not speak Spanish. Staff were not helpful when asking questions and didn’t seem to care. NOT worthy of 5 stars. However, hats off to Carlos and others at the sports bar - who were lovely. The food is also not worthy of being 5 stars. The buffet food is cold and the a la Carte options were less than impressive. Food was clearly just frozen and microwaved. The steak house however was very good. The American very disappointing and nothing about it was remotely “American”. The hotel pay little attention to allergies and despite telling them of mine I could not eat the food when it arrived due to this. There is a strong smell of sewage around the hotel - massively offputting. There is construction work still ongoing in some rooms, directly above ours which started early in the morning and finished late in the evening which was frustrating. The wardrobe is unusable - smells of damp and is mouldy. The cleaners come in at random times and just let themselves in - which was inconvenient as I had just got out the shower. This really should be looked at. There is little signage around the hotel and it is easy to get lost. When asking the staff, they did not seem to know either and were less than helpful. I feel these are all teething issues which can improve but nevertheless affected our stay.

The hotel is very new, the rooms very comfortable. The stuff was very pleasant at most of times. I have to say that the stuff of room service has surprise, Miguel has come twice to serve us, and always so happy and so nice. The second time my husband made a surprise for me together with the hotel and the stuff that comes with it, was just absolutely amazing, they made me a amazing romantic lunch at our private room, and were there to serve us. I have to say there names, because was fantastic! Thanks Miguel Concepicion, Maximo Acantais, Angel Indailgo, Osire Meri Brito. We will be back! Thanks!

This is the nicest resort in Punta Cana we have been to. Amazing rooms, beds are comfortable, food is great, staff are friendly especially Maria Marte. This place is huge you can't get bored. More pools than i have ever seen. 8 restaurants, 2 buffets and one fast food restaurant, could be more. A sports bar with pool tables, a bowling alley, disco, theatre with shows every night, ice cream parlor. A casino and much Moore. Just an amazing place.

Excellent resort (some very harsh reviews on here)

Resort magnificent , rooms excellent , now I did speak to people who had room issues ( I never) but ppl were moved... Ala carte restaurants were very good , food Better than expected ....Boulevard not quite finished but will be exceptional when complete...nightclub / English pub and theatre in Blv are all very impressive and I was shocked at the scale of the place. Staff were excellent and polite to all nationalities could not do enough for you ( give them a tip, they work hard, for not enough money)...witnessed security deal with really drunk ppl with far more sensitivity than they’d get in UK) still not running a 100% but will be the Premier resort in DR once 100%...big thanks to Jefferson Rodriguez (theatre) & Wilkin Richardson @ GF beach bar ...needs to be promoted to Green/ black shirt...beautiful new resort not perfect yet but I do recommend

    Amazing resort with extraordinary staff!

Do not hesitate to book at this resort. It is amazingly beautiful. We could not get over the decor as it was more and more amazing from one place to another (Coffee Place, English Pub, Sports Bar, Theatre Lobby, etc.). A la carte restaurants, drinks and room comfort makes the resort a true 5*. Inari was the best with freshest fish! But overall what made our trip the most enjoyable are the staff we met. They are all so helpful and smiley! In particular, Ruth Nesbitt at the lobby bar with amazing service and a smile to die for, Gaby Rosario at the Inari Restaurant with her amazing sens of humor (and all the staff at this place are such amazing people - see picture) and José Mercedes at the Sports Bar that is the best bartender ever! We also had a lot of fun with the 3 bartenders at the disco! Things to improve for me would be: - Adult area pool which has no advantage compare to other pools (no shade, no view) - Buffet food was cold - Animation team not present at night entertainment - No advertisement of the entertainment activity at night -Could use some structure for shading in the main pool Kudos for: - No need for keys or card to enter room -Bathroom everywhere that are super nice and clean -Beautifull and well maintained pool
