People really should rate a hotel based on the value for what was paid. Don’t expect the Hilton for the $80-120 this hotel costs. Also, it’s ignorant to rate down for the free continental breakfast that is provided. That’s a bonus. This isn’t a restaurant. Very nice for the money. Staff was polite. Comfortable and clean. I would recommend.??

I recently stayed here with my family for two nights and we found the hotel to be a lot better than some reviews gives it credit for. The check in process was fast and easy. The hotel is clean from the lobby to the hotel room. We were on the side of the freeway but we could barely hear the cars and had no trouble sleeping. I liked that the pool temp was warm even though it was breezy outside and they have small inner tubes for the kids which was a nice touch. They had pool towels readily available without having to take your room towels and the rooms were very clean. It was about 5-10 minutes to sea world and downtown was not far either. Their complimentary breakfast selection was fantastic even though it does get crowded but it's expected. I would definitely stay here again.

Good location, parking is available but a challenge

Nice room. Luggage carts were flimsy and hard to maneuver. Elevator was small. Breakfast room was large and on the 4th floor. You need to go early or there will be a mob and getting a table a challenge. The do have skim milk which I appreciate. There were outlets near the beds, but only in the middle. WiFi was horrible on the second night.

    Still waiting for elevator!

Rooms are comfortable. Standard room has enclosed bath and toilet, with small sink outside bathroom door. Parking garage underneath hotel is convenient; charge was $13/day. We think Choice hotel regulars should get a break. Breakfast room is on the 4th floor, pretty far from most rooms. End of March visit, there were lines back to the door. Terrible spacing for access to food and not enough tables. We thought hours should go until 9:30, not 9 am. Tiny and slow elevators. Confusing locations for guests. Stairwells don't access lobby, rather go outside. Hoel is right next to I-8 thruway, so rooms facing that way get a lot of noise. Convenient for SD Zoo and reasonably priced, which is why we stayed thete.

    Noisy, "combat breakfast", difficult parking

There were a couple of nice things, and a few bad, about this hotel. Good: Location, very near Seaworld (less than 5 minutes away without traffic). Breakfast quality and selection was good. Room was nice. Decent pool and hot tub. Nice beds and pillows. Bad: The noise was OFF THE CHARTS. It sounded like a circus or playground was directly above us. Kids telling and screaming in the pool area @930pm and the hallways at all hours. People blasting their personal radio in their room, with the bass shaking our room and the front desk telling us there was nothing that they could do about it. The breakfast was a "combat zone" at all hours. We are not shy or scared, but we never even came close to being able to secure one of the handful of tables that are provided for the hundreds of guests. The line to make your own waffle was easily 10-15 minutes and right in the way of the rest of us who didn't want yo wait and just chose to get other breakfast items. Extremely noisy and crowded like a packed elevator. The front desk staff was not very polite. Lastly, the parking was arranged in such a way that any cars larger than a compact would be extremely difficult to park. The hotel vans didn't even attempt and just took 2 spots.
