Anse Chastanet resort is paradise. My husband and I visited during COVID and not only did we feel incredibly safe, but had such a wonderful experience with all the precautions. The staff are incredibly friendly and within a few days knew our days and personalized our experience. I traveled pregnant and they went out of their way to ensure I was always comfortable. The resort has plenty of activities, both water and land, for a mix of both relaxing and adventure. We loved the Jazzy cruise, chocolate lab, sailing and diving. The dinner at Jade Mountain was fantastic and absolutely recommend that experience. We will be coming back to Anse Chastanet in the future!

We were hesitant traveling for the first time given Covid but my fears were for naught given how safe and protected I felt visiting St Lucia and this resort. We managed to enjoy paradise in safety and it was a much needed couples getaway. Firs of all the staff at this place are top notch, from the wait staff at the treehouse for breakfast every day to the beach attendants. Even masked up you could tell there were smiles and an eagerness to make sure you're having the best possible stay. Amazing food as well. The Indian cuisine at the beach restaurant was a fav. Be sure to get out to the second beach where they make a mean burger, also a great place to lounge. Sunset sails are another must. Lots of great water sports which are comp which is a nice touch. On top of the fun activities like biking we just enjoyed doing as little as possible in between adventures. The allure of this place will see a week race by and you not want to leave. Most of all it felt safe, they take it all very seriously and we will definitely be back.

Do not stay here - they treat locals terribly

I visited Anse Chastanet beach as a Saint Lucian over the past weekend with my family and friends. I have never had good interactions with the staff at Anse Chastanet in the past, from asking to see my ID to go on the beach, to telling me I simply cannot access the beach. The law in St. Lucia states ALL beaches are public, meaning hotels cannot bar locals from going on a public beach and have to provide access. After multiple bad experiences here, I tried going back due to how nice the beach and snorkeling here is. Upon entry to the hotel property, there was a POLICE officer standing with a blockade. Why would the hotel need to have a police officer at the entrance, rather than a security guard like any other hotel in St. Lucia? We were waved through by the police officer (though the last experience here he stopped us and told us we cannot go on the beach). Upon arrival at the security hut (2 security checks???), they asking if we are local, a total of THREE times. As St. Lucian nationals, this was extremely offensive to be interrogated by three security guards about our nationality JUST to go on the beach. They tried to tell us they do not think we are Saint Lucian, and that non-Saint Lucians cannot have access to the beach - which is not true. Eventually, after much back and forth, they realized we were local, and took our temperatures in order to walk through the hotel to the beach. After taking temperatures, they tried to tell us we should go to one specific part of the beach, limiting us to our public beach access. We knew the law and simply brushed this aside. Upon arrival on the beach, we noticed there was a sign saying "Hotel and Restaurant Patrons only beyond this point." Beyond this point on the beach? They cannot bar anyone's entry to the beach. We walked onto the beach, and settled our towels down onto the sand close to the water. Within 5 minutes of being there, a security guard approached and told us we could not be there, we should move to another part of the beach. We were not close to anyone and we were minding our business. We told her no, she said she would have to call backup in that case. Backup?? For us just wanting to have our public beach access? Within another 5 minutes another security guard came and told us we cannot be there and we should go to the part of the beach where all the boats are coming and going, making it dangerous to snorkel and swim. He got very stern with us but we held our ground. This is a beautiful beach but the problem is no locals ever try to come here due to the harassment they receive from Anse Chastanet Hotel. To have to go through all that interrogation just to go on our own beach is ludicrous. In the end, we enjoyed our afternoon on our public beach. Anse Chastanet knows that they cannot legally kick anyone off, but they take advantage of people who may not know the law, harassing them and telling them to move. This creates an unpleasant environment for anyone not staying at the hotel, so they never return, and their beach stays "exclusive." What Anse Chastanet does is so oppressive and borderline unlawful to local Saint Lucians wanting to access their own beach. To anyone considering staying here, this resort does not own the beach, it is not private, security cannot chase anyone off or ask them for ID to prove they are Saint Lucian. This beach belongs to Saint Lucians and Saint Lucians only. Please remember this story of harassment by the Anse Chastanet hotel staff before you think about booking your trip to this hotel. Try a different hotel, one that cares about all St. Lucians and their rights. And if you do stay here, look out for security harassing locals on this beach, and stand up for them. I hope Anse Chastanet can give me a good response to this and an explanation because this is far from the first time this has happened to me, or any St. Lucian who has attempted to visit this beach.

Escaped this past week for a return visit to this amazing and beautiful resort. I haven’t felt this relaxed in ........I don’t remember when! .... Anse Chastanet had everything we wanted, and we never even left the grounds. (Except in a boat). My hubby scuba dived everyday with an excellent and very professional staff. He loved all the dives and even had two fantastic night dives. Every afternoon we snorkeled together off the two beaches. It felt like we were swimming in an aquarium. Saw so much wildlife, including a large octopus (snorkeling), sea horses, frog fish, lobsters, & sea turtles along with the vast variety of fish and colorful coral. I spent my mornings doing whatever I wanted or nothing at all. I loved walking/sitting on the two beaches and fell in love with Anse Mamin the second more secluded beach where the staff really took care of me. Between the morning boat ride over, the lounge chair with fresh cushy towels and any drink I wanted at any time, I felt like a pampered princess on a remote jungle beach. We also took the jungle bike tour and an afternoon sailing trip. Both were a lot of fun and met some very nice people. I have so missed meeting and talking to new people. My husband and I are both fully vaccinated health care workers, and we thought the Covid protocols in St Lucia and Anse Chastanet were very good. From the time we stepped off the plane, the private car transfer to the resort and then the staff adhering to strict safety protocols we felt safe and that the staff took the precautions seriously. It was easy (although it looked somewhat intimidating) to follow the entry requirements and application for travel authorization. Prior to our arrival my husband had several conversations with guest services and always received prompt, helpful and courteous replies. The ladies even helped him pre-plan some romantic surprises upon our arrival. If you are looking for paradise and a chance to relax, dive, snorkel, bike, beach, and just be in beauty and peace this is the place. They will take care of you.

I visited the resort for my 55th birthday. The entire staff made our visit memorable; from Chef Ruban who prepared special meals for us, to Bradley who was patient with my claustrophobia, as I was getting my diving certification, to who literally held my hand during the entire first open water dive, to Peter Jean Paul, a general manager who listened and heard our requests, to Nelson, whose yoga was soooo chill. The beauty of the resort and St. Lucia is undeniable and breathtaking, but it is the people who made our stay epic.
