We came here for our honeymoon and had an amazing week I don't think we could have picked a better destination. Food is excellent, staff is wonderful, service is fantastic. We stayed in the Ocean view butler suites and I cannot stress enough how worth it the butler service is! It 100% made our honeymoon. We also took advantage of the candlelight dinner which was one of the highlight of our trips and the couples massage at the Red Lane spa (also a great experience). This was our first time at a Sandals resort and we have already booked our anniversary trip for next year.

My wife and I recently returned from a glorious week at Sandals Regency La Toc in St. Lucia. The management and staff are amazing! The grounds are immaculate and our room was very nice with the most spectacular view. We stayed in a Sunset Bluff Honeymoon Oceanfront One Bedroom Butler Villa Suite with Private Pool – BS. Let me start by saying Mr. G, the General Manager, has assembled a really great all-around staff in every area. This unique resort is absolutely beautiful but it is the caring, kind-hearted staff that make it perfect. Every staff member makes you feel as if you are part of the family. We had the best butler team we have ever had in our many Sandals stays. Livester, Darnelle & Marcus were the A Team of all butlers. They were prompt with breakfast room service deliveries making certain we had hot meals and lattes every morning. They had hot bubble baths ready for my wife a couple of days after scuba diving. They also prepared fun towel animals, romantic notes and the most creative decorations of one kind or another every night. In addition, they arranged a couple of romantic meals, one in particular on the observation deck, that was spectacular. A special thank you to Willie for preparing this fabulous meal for us. These gentlemen are the gold standard of Butler teams. I am submitting a recommendation for them to be admitted to the Sandals Butlers Hall of Fame. They were definitely the “Dream Team”. Luca, who I believe is the culinary director, has put together and oversees a really great team of chefs and servers. We found the cuisine to be everything anyone could anticipate or want. The dining experience and food are outstanding at all the restaurants. It’s impossible to pick a favorite. We ran into our old friend Andrea who we met at our last stay at La Toc. He again arranged to make us his world-renowned Spaghetti Carbonara at Armando’s. He’s a culinary magician. Tonia and Rea provided extraordinary service at Armando’s. Also, many thanks to Andrea and staff for the outstanding returning guest meal. The team at Soy is extraordinary as well and the food is fabulous. Wayan the maitre’d was accommodating at both of our visits. We usually eat at Soy on the first night because it is casual but went back after the Sunset Snorkel cruise. Dining at Soy only once just isn’t enough. Many thanks to the Soy chefs, Richard and Roger. We ate at the French restaurant, La Toc, twice. Ankur, the chef, is really an artisan. The service staff, Keshela, Janelle and Moises were extraordinary. We ate lunch at Neptune’s most days where we were cared for by Shannon, Shaquille, and Mandy (and others). Thanks to all at Neptune’s. Pavilions was our other go-to lunch spot where Trevor was efficiently heading up the kitchen. Eucilla, one of our favorite servers there, helped make our vacation memorable. Our room attendant Juliette did a fabulous job taking care of our room – thank you Juliette. Additionally, I want to make sure I mention Bunz. He is the best shuttle driver and has the most beautiful singing voice. He remembered us from our last visit to La Toc and again serenaded us on the drive back to our room. We love getting to ride with him. The diving arrangements here worked out very well. Michael, the boat captain, and Morgan were extremely helpful and efficient in handling all the dive boat gear and particulars. The divers were shuttled to the marina but most of the dive sites are close, so we got back earlier (1 hour+/-) than we did staying the following week at The Grande. The first day we did a private dive with Hiram (aka Shaggy) at Superman’s Flight, my all-time favorite dive spot. We also dove with Damian who found a very cool frogfish and led us on some great dives. Ali, another great dive guide, also took us out one day and found a seahorse. Finding frogfish and/or a seahorse makes for the perfect dive day. The dive shop administrative manager, Shanisse, was very helpful during our stay. She is a delight. The diving and dive crew here are really wonderful. Last but not least, we were there for Super Bowl! They had a huge screen set up and socially distant tables. There were wonderful looking food offerings for all. It was really quite fun but still followed Covid protocol. Butch Stewart’s motto was, “Exceed people’s expectations”. This is exactly what the staff does at La Toc. We are very grateful and appreciative for their warmth and kindness. Thank you for your unparalleled service and for working so hard during these trying times. Needless to say, we have already booked our return trip to visit this magical venue managed by Mr. G (thank you to Luke and Pat for helping us with the booking)! It was one of the BEST vacations ever.

From when we made our initial inquiry to Sandals we were told of the magical times that awaited us on our honeymoon. These were only half truths and Sandals lack of transparency was to say the least, both heart breaking and eye opening. Let me first say that the island of St. Lucia is beautiful and this has nothing to do with the location we chose. Most of of the staff and our butlers were good. The resort and room itself, though a little dated, was adequate. However Sandals failed to inform us all the restrictions in place at the resort. Sandals sent multiple emails and I talked to a representative on at least 3 occasions in the week before we arrived. At no time did anyone inform us the lock down at the resort, even when we discussed the 2 land excursions that had already been booked. When we asked at the resort about why we informed of the cancellations only the day before it was scheduled. We were made to believe that the restriction was just placed on the resort upon our arrival, this was not the case. After some research and talking to other guest Sandals I learned that this rule was in effect at least a week before arriving. At the same time that Sandals was going over the details of our honeymoon. The lack of transparency is disgusting and infuriating. Sandals informed us that everything in the resort was open, even bragging that they were one of the first to reopen. This was also a half truth. Out of 9 restaurants, we had only 2-3 options to eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Room service was an option but it was a very limited menu, and not a option we wanted to rely on. As for late night dining and entertainment the options were even fewer. What entertainment was available at the pavilion was good but how can this be the only option. Again, where was the transparency from Sandals on the limited amenities? We were also looking forward to traveling by shuttle to the other Sandals resorts to see what they had to offer. We told that we were not allowed to do this. Once again, something advertised as an amenity by Sandals but no transparency before we arrived. Sandals 18 hole champion golf course, not available because it was offsite. Only the 9 hole course was available, not an option we would consider. We only discovered a list of approved water excursions a few days before our departure. This information may have been helpful upon our arrival. It would seem Sandals only wanted their guest to spend our spare time at the spa everyday as evident with the constant sales pitch at every opportunity. We feel that Sandals charged a premium price for a less than premium honeymoon. If you would like hear more about our experience please feel free to contact us. We would like to hear what Sandals believes is an appropriate response to our disappointment. Sincerely, Mr. & Mrs. Crabtree

Under the circumstances of Covid, things seemed to run pretty smoothly. Food, accommodations, covid testing onsite, grounds, and staff were all great. HOWEVER, we were disappointed in what seems to be promised in the brochure but not delivered. 1) watersports "included" - use of mask & snorkel not provided for the beach area, so must be purchased or be booked on snorkel trip off property. 2) top 2 restaurants - Armando's & La Toc - both closed on Friday night so limited upscale restaurants for guests with only a few night's stay. 3) most of the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, but the "reservationists" for the extra charge items like spa, beach dining and watersports hung in the lobby during your arrival as well as walked the property always hassling you with requests to sign up for their activities. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would certainly recommend Sandals La Toc to others.

We thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities and staff. Everyone was very polite and friendly! I did want to give a special shout out to a few people who made our stay so much more enjoyable! Levanna —-was our number 1 girl, she made pool days so fun and entertaining and helped us out whenever we needed it. The level of joy and excitement she brings to sandals is IRREPLACEABLE. It is my opinion she should be promoted or given a raise! She was seriously so professional and fun— good people like that are hard to come by and I would seriously recommend her for that. Next on our list was Trisha—she was not only beautifully talented, but an extreme blessing and wonderfully hard worker. She continued to make our stay enjoyable and her presence was always very bubbly and kind. Another employee who made our stay very memorable was McKenzie—he was so fun, welcoming and really got the crowd going during night events. He has the personality for this resort, he is up beat, happy and personable. It was always a good time if he was around! Others to be noted are Chris the bartender, janel and Miguel. Their service was excellent and professional and fun, definitely memorable times spent with them. Overall we definitely enjoyed our stay here in St. Lucia. And plan to return.
