    This was my husbands and I first time visiting a Sandals location. The trip started out fairly good and quickly went south our last 24 hours there. We had really bad weather while we were there. We had previously purchased the private candle light dinner that was booked for a Friday evening. Our butler suggested moving the day it was schedule for to a different evening later during our stay due to rain storms. We agreed to move the dinner to our last night there. Fast forward to that night, we get all dressed up and out butler drives us to the location to meet our hosts to take us to the private dinner. 15 minutes go by and nothing. 30 minutes go by and my husband asks the front desk. 45 min later we are finally notified that somehow there was a break in communication and we were not scheduled for that night. Mind you, it’s our 10th Wedding Anniversary. They offered to reschedule it to another night, but that doesn’t work because that was our last night at Sandals. We were not offered anything for our inconvenience. It’s took over 5 MONTHS to receive the refund for that dinner as well. My husband and I not wanting to ruin our last night try our best to continue our last evening. We get back to our room just past midnight and plan to be up early for the zip line tour. Around 130 am the new couple above us get back to their room. We can hear that they are very, very drunk and arguing. They start playing loud music on a speaker. We assume maybe they are just settling in and will turn it off soon. Well, that never happens. My husband called the front to complain (I also placed my complaint via the loop). Security comes out and knocks on the door for awhile but there’s no answer and the music is still very loud. This is probably around 215 am. My husband asks for the manager to come out. They offer to move US to a new room. This is about 230 am by now. We decline to change our room at that late hour. I brought up the fact that this is now a safety issue being that these two people were very intoxicated/arguing and now not responsive to loud banging on their door. The manager finally unlocks their door around 315 am. He says he say the man passed out on the bed, but no sign of the female guest. The manager turned off the music. The next day I was so upset over everything that happened over the past 24 hours I couldn’t wait to leave. We cancelled our zip line tour and had Sandals call for a private transport to Sugar Beach Resort ASAP where we stayed for and additional night prior to departing. Not one person at Sandals ever acknowledged any of the issues we had in the previous evening.

    Wonderful country and wonderful people. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience at Regency La Toc. Our butlers Trish and Gem were spectacular and Priscilla who served our candle light dinner and personally sang me happy birthday was one of the highlights of the trip. Hiked Gros Piton which was awesome and did the adventure cruise with Carnival Sailing also amazing! Watch out for the rum punch it will sneak up on you. St. Lucia is a must if thinking of a Caribbean trip.

    Although the title may seem strange, there’s a plot twist, so I encourage you to read this honest review to the end. Upon arrival, we were not impressed! Despite making arrangements well in advance and communicating with the staff, our names were not on the airport guest list, neither was a Welcome Packet prepared for us. We felt unplanned for. We had to wait for them to create a package, while the others we had arrived with, were swiftly taken to their rooms. After completing paperwork, we were escorted to a room that was very average. To be fair, we did not book a top-of-the-line room, but if you market yourself as a luxury brand – luxury should be included regardless of the room category. This is where the story changes. The front desk agent who took us to our room was a young woman named KERLINE. She was warm, kind and empathetic to our pleas. She tried her best to situate us and even requested an upgrade for us, which could not be granted because of availability. We were told on arrival that restaurant reservations were closed for the day, but she called shortly after to say she had managed to book us a reservation at the French restaurant, LA TOC. Slowly, the outlook started shifting. This young lady not only looked out for us that day, she checked on us and went above and beyond EVERY SINGLE DAY to ensure we were comfortable. She felt like family, and made us feel special and cared for. Our anniversary came and went without any acknowledgement from Sandals, but Kerline would not allow that. She took a day off and returned the next day with an anniversary card she had picked up just for us. It made our day!! Now, let me be clear – Sandals La Toc is staffed with the most AMAZING people you will ever meet. We ran into another ray of sunshine, Sameera, the lady in charge of the butlers. Sameera was not only visually stunning, her heart was perhaps even more beautiful. She greeted us one day early in our stay and showed interest in us. She realized we were not very pleased with our accommodations and tried to see what she could do to change that. Again, there was not much that could be done, but she did the next best thing. She conspired with Kerline to give us a personal tour of the property and treated us so well. Our hearts were full of gratitude. But wait, there’s more … It was at the Butler’s Station that we met the General Manager, the infamous Mr. G, and all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place. You see, a well-oiled machine is a testament to firm leadership, and Mr. G embodies the qualities of a phenomenal leader. He is a man with many responsibilities, but took the time to chat with us every time he saw us. Not even a mask could disguise his big smile and warm heart. We love you Mr. G!! Kind, thoughtful, friendly, and so down-to-earth. The service and food are outstanding!! The staff went out of their way to greet us and attend to our every need. Abi at Armando’s was a delight, and Elisha “Ms. Nice and Sweet”, Sarah in the Pavilion, and Krissy at the Pitons Restaurant were standouts!! We enjoyed every meal. The property was gorgeous and well-maintained. The beach was rough at times, but the water was so refreshing. Thank you Sandals La Toc; our experience proves that any situation can be transformed by a loving, caring and attentive staff. Sameera said “See you next year”, and she may just get her wish!

    I really had high hopes for La Toc in St. Lucia. I had called several times prior to our trip to assure that we had all the proper documents and covid test to travel. Everytime I spoke to someone over the phone they were super friendly and accommodating however, when we arrived it was a different story. It was our 15 year anniversary and we did not even get a card in our room. We traveled with another couple whom were also celebrating an anniversary, they received a cake. We arrived at 3:30 pm but reservations were required for most restaurants so we only had an option of two places to eat. no one told us this in advance. Our Sandals lounge host was very dry and not welcoming at all as well as the sales department rep. which you have to go to schedule your Covid test to return to the US. We gave them 3 restaurants we wanted to make reservations for and by the next afternoon we had no reservations made for us, afraid that we were going to end up with limited choices again we hunted down the person in charge of making the reservations ourselves. The food was delicious everywhere we ate. We had the OJS club level suites and the room was very dated. The TV had no accessibility to Netflix,Hulu etc. and only showed old movies and TV shows with spanish commercials very strange. The picture was also not clear. My husband splashed a little when he swam away from the pool bar and the bartenders got very upset and scolded him like a child. We were there for 5 days and at the pool every day from 10 am-5 pm and the only time we even had a buzz was when we drank champagne. The drinks are definitely watered down. For me that was fine but if you know your liquor you will be disappointed. I can honestly say throughout our trip we encountered maybe 5 friendly employees. Eli and Giavia (think I spelled it correctly) were great bartenders, our waitress at La Toc and at our candle light dinner were also great! Our massage was pricey but worth every penny. They take pictures of you throughout your stay with no obligation to buy however, I purchased 10 pics (digital) which included 1 print and that was extremely pricey. I feel that for the price we paid at least service with a smile would be nice. Overall it was a nice relaxing trip but I can not see myself returning.

    The wedding experience at Sandals Regency La Toc was wonderful! Wedding planner Alison took care of everything and it was a stress free experience! We also utilized the Butler option and had Stephy, Ficus, and Gerland as our Butlers. All 3 of them were amazing, so kind and took care of our every need! We will definitely be going back and also requesting those 3 butlers specifically! I can’t say enough good things about them! Amazing!
