Offer extended as of November 12, 2020. Register and earn 10% of your eligible WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard credit card purchases as a qualifying spend boost toward reaching your next tier in the WestJet Rewards program (the “Offer”) between September 10 and January 9, 2021 (the “Offer Period”).

 

This Offer is open to select members of the WestJet Rewards program who are primary cardholders of a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard and hold Teal, Silver or Gold tier status (“Eligible Cardholders”). Members with Platinum status as of September 10, 2020 are not eligible for the Offer. Eligible purchases made on a secondary card will receive qualifying spend boost that will be deposited in the registered primary cardholder’s account. The Offer Period will be divided into three tracking periods, each consisting of approximately 30 days:

 

Period 1: September 10 – October 9, 2020
Period 2: October 10 – November 9, 2020
Period 3: November 10 – December 9, 2020
Period 4: December 10, 2020 – January 9, 2021

 

Eligible Cardholders must register for this Offer at westjet.com/tierboost during the Offer Period. Registration is required only once, and the date of registration will determine the start of tracking of eligible purchases. Once registered, all eligible purchases made under your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard account (including purchases on supplementary cards) during the tracking period in which registration takes place (including those made immediately prior to registration), and subsequent tracking periods, will be eligible for the Offer. Credit card purchases made in any previous tracking period prior to registration will not be eligible. For greater clarity, if an Eligible Cardholder registers for the Offer during period 2, all eligible purchases made during periods 2 and 3 will be eligible for the Offer, however, purchases made in period 1 will not.

 

Qualifying spend (“QS”) is a calculation used to track a WestJet Rewards member’s progress towards achieving Silver, Gold or Platinum tiers and is based on certain portions of your individual flight and vacation package spend with WestJet during your individual qualifying period. QS is reset at the start of each qualifying period.

 

QS derived from this Offer through eligible credit card purchases will be considered equivalent to QS earned from WestJet flight and vacation package activity, and will be included in the calculation for determining tier status of the primary cardholder (subject to specific conditions below) and the awarding of milestone awards in the WestJet Rewards program.

 

Eligible Cardholders who register for the Offer are eligible to earn a QS boost at a rate of 10% of eligible WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard purchases during the Offer Period. The QS boost amount will be combined with your existing QS total, as applicable, and will count towards the achievement of your immediate next tier up to a maximum of one (1) tier upgrade per WestJet Rewards member during the Offer Period. Once you reach the next tier (i.e. $3,000 in QS for Silver, $5,000 in QS for Gold and $8,000 in QS for Platinum) during the Offer Period, you will not earn any additional QS on your credit card purchases. Additionally, if you register for the Offer and reach the next tier through regular program activity before the QS boost is credited to your account, you will not earn QS boost on credit card purchases during the Offer Period, and will no longer be eligible for the Offer.

 

Eligible purchases for the QS boost are purchases for goods and services minus returns and other credits; credits for returns and adjustments will reduce or cancel the QS boost earned. Eligible purchases do not include fees or interest charges, balance transfers, cash advances, purchases of traveller's cheques, person-to-person payments, or purchases of any cash equivalents. To receive the QS boost, your credit card account must be open at the time of Offer fulfillment. If you cancel your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard credit card before the end of 2020, WestJet reserves the right to remove any QS boost or status adjustments you may have received through this Offer. The Offer Period is based on the transaction posting date, not the transaction date. Transactions that take place prior to the end of the Offer Period will not eligible for the QS boost if they have not yet been posted or processed by the merchant, the payment network (Mastercard), or Royal Bank of Canada by that date.

 

WestJet dollars will not be awarded on the QS boost when credited to the member’s account.

 

WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard credit card benefits will not change due to a member’s tier upgrade. However, members will be able to take advantage of applicable WestJet Rewards tier benefits for the new tier, such as lounge access, advance seat selection, priority services, complimentary upgrades, and increased WestJet dollar earn rates. Eligible Cardholders who have registered for the Offer will receive the QS boost following the end of each tracking period, if all criteria has been met:

• QS boost from purchases from Period 1 (as defined above) will be credited by October 23, 2020
• QS boost from purchases from Period 2 (as defined above) will be credited to the member’s account by November 23, 2020
• QS boost from purchases during Period 3 (as defined above) will be credited to the member’s account by December 23, 2020.
• QS boost from purchases during Period 4 (as defined above) will be credited to the member’s account by January 26, 2021.

The status upgrade available to a member through this Offer will be determined by your tier status as of September 10, 2020 and will be limited to an upgrade to the immediate next tier only, regardless of when registration takes place. For example, a member who holds Silver status as of September 10, 2020 will be eligible to achieve a tier upgrade to Gold only through this Offer. If you have already achieved a higher status through any other means during the Offer Period, the Offer will no longer be available to you.

 

Members will maintain the tier status awarded through this Offer until December 31, 2022 or until a higher tier is achieved, whichever comes first. WestJet and RBC reserve the right to change or withdraw the Offer at any time and without notice.

This Offer has no monetary or other exchange value and cannot be sold or transferred.
