    Divi vacation club promotion

While booking an excursion we were offered a nice discount on our excursion as well as a full weeks vacation. So we agreed. We were told 90 minutes in total including lunch. First. It was 90 minutes without lunch. We did the full 90 minutes with Ken who was very nice, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. After our time with Ken he brought in the "closer." She discussed pricing and promotions and basically asked us to sign away for a time share. We were very nice and politely said we were interested but not at the moment. She immediately got very short with us. Nasty as a matter of fact. She walked away from us without saying goodbye and accused us of not spending the full 90 minutes which we did. She also very loudly scolded the sales guy Ken saying that he should have cancelled our tour as it was a waste of time. I did not get her name but she has very tacky fake long bedazzled nails. Very disappointing. And a poor representation of the Divi franchise. The sad thing is that the Divi properties are amazing.

    Definitely sub par

Over all the resort appeared nice but in the inside, under closer inspection this was not the case. The rooms were outdated, featured holes in the walls and very few outlets. Overall the resort was severely understaffed. Often had to wait 10+ minutes to get a drink at the bar. It wasn’t just the bars that were understaffed but also the front desk, housecleaning and restaurants. Once you did get helped by staff they were very nice but it just took a while. Almost everyone we met was extremely nice and lively the staff was amazing considering how much work they make them do. Now my kids have severe allergies and most of the chefs were happy to accommodate but one female chef in particular seemed particularly annoyed that we requested special food to be taken from the back (to avoid cross contamination). She was very difficult to work with and made the process of simply feeding my kids an absolute nightmare. The other chefs were much more helpful and kind to my kids would constantly check in and make sure they were eating well. The divi resort is a sister resort of taramujn which is supposed to be the same thing. It is not. The sister resort of divi hosted most of the activities, shows and such. The only plus of the divi side was that it had a better beach. Nightlife is minimal you won’t find many people out past 10:30 unless they are headed to the casino. Amenities such as beach chairs and dinner reservations were very hard to come by you would have to wake up at 8 am just to secure one chair for the day and make reservations for 2 days later at any of the restaurants. Overall I rated the experience a 2 because of the business set up. Much could be done to improve

The rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard, the restaurants were excellent, especially the Red Parrott as well as Pure Lime.My daughter spent her 21st Birthday on 26th July and Bucks Fizz was served at breakfast to us all.Entertainment in the evenings was a joy even at my age (not disclosed). We would definately come here again and use the Divis sister hotel Tamariyns facilities with its watersports and gym. This is my second visit to Aruba (the first in 2006), I was also born here and left the island when I was ten years old.

We visited Aruba in early August for the first time and it was stunning! Will definitely be returning. Staying at the Divi All inclusive was great. Food was excellent, especially Pure Lime! The beach was gorgeous and much better than the next door sister hotel “Tamarijn”. (The whole Divi is overall much better than the Tam.) Using the shuttle between the two hotels was great and easy. We only really went to the Tam for dinner at the various restaurants. At the Divi, there is one main pool and two smaller ones. We mostly hung out on the beautiful beach and the smaller pool. We had no issues getting beach chairs as long as you put your towel on one by about 9:30 am. The pool however, I would get your towel on a chair by about 8am. Upon check-in they give you one water bottle per person that you can use during your stay and refill at the water stations throughout the hotel. We loved this feature and it was so nice to not have to worry about drinking the water! We had a great stay and loved our visit! The staff was so kind and friendly and helpful. Next time I think we are going to stay in the high rise area of Aruba as there is a lot to do in that area, but we would stay at the Divi again. The only thing this resort needs to work on is the activities and nightlife. There should be a more lively activities crew to get you to do things during the day by the pool. It would also be nice if there were more shows or dancing available each night. Other than that, we highly recommend Aruba and would stay at the Divi again!

GINGER & PAPARAZZI RESTAURANT in Divi & Tamarijn all inclusive package

These restaurants are promoted as an a la carte restaurants. What a let down, they are from it. The pasta was like rubber, in Papparazzi, obviously kept hot for ages. The food was much much better in the Divi buffet. Ginger, had no ambience, once again the food had been reheated and reheated, it was dreadful, we left our food sadly. Sadly this let our holiday down, up until then the food had been great everywhere, overall the restaurants in the Tamarijn side of the hotels were awful.
