Great option away from the crowds

Cruiser100892 (Manchester, United Kingdom) on Apr 09, 2024

We stayed as a family of 4. We usually stay on the west coast but tried this and was pleasantly surprised. Great hotel, wonderful amenities, food was also very tasty and staff were very helpful. We would definitely visit again! The only slight issue is that it is further out from most activities on the island.

Stunning ocean views at The Crane Resort delights guests with its well-maintained cleanliness and extensive amenities, including multiple pools and beach access. The lively atmosphere with live entertainment excellent and the great hosts specially Shamika as the front desk agent.

First Time in Barbados

Relax63947617891 on Mar 31, 2024

My first time in Barbados and WOW was it awesome. A supervisor named Nikita Hoyle (crane employee) was very courteous along with the entire staff. Concierge by the name of Anthony (hazel-eyed dude) was so kind to spouse (she is handicapped) and family. I shall not forget how much pressure he removed with his considerations and professionalism. I cannot wait to go back. The diet is heavy on seafood, they do not do much red meat. I missed my chance to eat some barracuda, but that won't happen on the next trip. Recommend avoiding any flight planning that includes Charlotte (nightmare connecting to Atlanta). Barbadian dollar ....BD $10 = $5 US...that was the exchange rate when I went the last week in March 2024. For a one week stay plan on approximately $1,000 US and $1,000 on a credit card (excluding airfare and lodging cost of course). I still came back with money and souvenirs. TSA pre-check, Global entry, US Passport a must and made trip less stressful.

Disappointed: property not well taken care of

yoursalindap (Columbia, South Carolina) on Mar 29, 2024

For a resort marketed as luxury accommodations and views, the only positive was the view. As for the resort that charges a large amount for nightly rental, the fine points of the resort were an epic fail: 1) very large but dated 1BR sea view rooms with very high bed unless you’re 6 ft. tall. 2)landscape is overgrown and unattended to. Not manicured as one expects at a luxury, well cared for resort. 3) not service oriented. Pool stays open until 9:30pm, bars and restaurant near pool closes around 4, towels service closes at 4. Therefore no service to support ongoing use of pools including restrooms out of toilet paper, wet floors and full trash cans. 1 towel booth for whole resort; runs out of towels; closes at 4; 1 server in pool area. Poorly invested in. Those are management decisions. 5. Most of the employees were not happy in their disposition. It feels like a management issue as someone aware of corporate cultural environments. I suspect they’re not receiving their due, whatever that means Overall, I would not recommend at the price point offered. At some point, it was probably a great resort. Now it seems like it’s not being well taken care of by the owners.

We will return

TNJN79 (Virginia Beach, Virginia) on Mar 25, 2024

Based on previous reviews, I was very nervous prior to my stay at The Crane. I booked through Hilton Grand Vacations so I reached out to them a month before my trip. They reassured me I should not run into any issues during my stay. And they were so right. I had no problems at check in. Shane took us right to our room on the second floor which had great views of the Atlantic Ocean. We experienced no problems with the elevator down to the beach. I think folks assumed the elevator wasn’t working when actually all they needed to do was use their room key. There was a day or two when no towels were available near the end of the day but they were available first thing the next morning. Does something like that really ruin a vacation? The staff on the beach were fantastic; especially Happy. We ordered food and drinks from Bar 1887, L’Azure and The Grove. Only one complaint, that you would probably have at any beach bar. How do you keep beer cold without a cooler full of ice. :). My husband and I found ourselves saying many times “when we return,” not “if we return.” We had a wonderful relaxing stay at The Crane.
