The activities in the pool are very Fun, they are very entertaining . Also the pool is very clean and big with today's party the crazy game was incredible. I am very grateful to Marisol, Alan, Eduardo, Dante and Ramón for the attention they have given us. we will return
What makes this place truly “Grand”

The Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres resort complex is vast and expands across an excellent wide stretch of beach, situated north of a busy and bustling Cancun corridor. The long beach stretches on both ends of the resort and offered the exclusivity of feeling completely private - no annoying peddlers, timeshare sellers, or other deterrents preventing you from breathing in and taking in the mesmerizing beauty of the Caribbean and view of neighbouring Isla Mujeres on the sea horizon. Other than hotel guests walking the beach, the police are the only other presence seen patrolling the beach at points throughout. The resort is impressive with food choice - but more importantly, quality, flavour and value. As travellers well know - 7 night stays do not mean 7 full days on resort due to arrival and departure times, so the 5 a la carte restaurants that we visited were absolutely flavourful and fantastic- Chang Thai and Sumptouri at the top followed closely by Bhogali, El Dorado and La Adelita. La Isla Blanca buffet was equipped with food stations and a wide array to suit everyone. We did not tire of the food and due to time constraints, unfortunately we were unable to take in the other offerings - our short beach time hours were too valuable! Thank you Raul for your service on the beach and chatting with us about Mexico City. Hotel staff are rewarded by a points-based system but all were united in their appreciation for ownership being a fair employer - which is not always the case for most all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, specifically in the Mayan corridor. Taking an hour of my time now that we’re back home this morning to provide a trip advisor review, is how hotel staff can be recognized for their efforts to go over and above. Please like and share! Augustin needs to be recognized for his diligence on several occasions, he was always available for any questions and cleared up everything from finding Kevin with the hobie cat sail rentals when other staff were not even aware of hobie cats or kayaks even being included at the hotel - to helping us find out about soccer availability at Rafa Nadel tennis center, to his assistance along with the couple of concierge employees on March 22nd who were situated towards the lobby bar. All tried to wait on the phone when the westjet vacations rep was never available and the nexus travel was not on-time for our pick up transfer to the airport. They offered to call and clear up the confusion when the check out staff outside who were in charge of the pickup vans were unhelpful, rude, and would only simply say “call Westjet vacations.” Augustin is an extraordinary employee and should be placed in charge of these other divisions as his English and understanding of protocol and flow is a cut above the rest. He cares so much. Gracias Augustin! Also, Augustin also knew our time was short and did not push the travel club one hour spiel on us - he made us aware of it, but did not insist or push. The same was true of Cass. The very lovely and cordial Joana as well as Guadalupe - who both lead reception at La Isla Blanca - always both very kind and always so pleasant and cordial no matter the heat - Gracias Joana and Guadalupe - you and your team are fabulous! We will miss your smiling faces each day along with Lopez the server. Patricia with huevos al gusto, there is nothing that she will not make for you - marvellous omelets or eggs over easy! Ramon did a fantastic job instructing with Paddleboarding and would take the time to chat with the kids when he saw them at other times. Thank you Dante as well for your excellent instruction and to Marisol. Kevin with the hobie cat rentals on the beach, was very key in providing a great one hour refresher lesson and in arranging for subsequent 30 minute bookings on the other two afternoons - you are so awesome! Arturo and Crispi on the boat taxis-gracias for your little cruises to see the resort at night. Lily and Diana at the fabulous Piacere coffee shop with its incredible decor and their quick service each day for our macchiato’s - these two were always polite and a smile no matter how long the lineup. So Wonderful you both are! All servers and hosts at the a la carte restaurants listed above were excellent. There were simply too many to list them all. In summary - the exceptional people make it the “Grand” Palladium. Gracias from your friends in Saskatoon, Canada ????!! ?

We travel often and chose Grand Palladium this time instead of Princess Hotels. Our room was changed before we arrived to 2 full beds instead of a king. It was hours after they said it would be ready. They did change us back to a king after complaining. Our villa didn’t have light at night (the others did) so it was pitch black trying to get in our room. We told them about the lights, it was never fixed or addressed. Our 3rd night there we were woke up at 10:45 pm with laughing out side our door. We laid there and listened only to hear our door unlock and the man and woman attempting to enter our room. The chain on the door is the only thing that stopped them. We could not see their faces with the outside lights being out of service. We tried repeatedly to contact the hotel staff with no answer. We didn’t leave the room until it was light outside. I was absolutely terrified that some stranger had a key to our room. We spoke with the supervisor. We requested they let us review the camera footage with them. They said they would contact us after the police reviewed. We travel with our friends who are fluent in Spanish and a federal police officer. We asked everyday and were told they were working on it. Then we noticed our lights were on a night to find out “someone” comes in at night to clean. We already have it cleaned in the morning. We requested then NOT to enter our room again after it’s cleaned. We were not aware of the second cleaning and had money out. On the second to the the last day did the finally contacted us and offered 4 of us a 25 minutes massage each. We declined as our day was already planned. They brought champagne to our room which we don’t drink. Then someone entered our room without our permission at night and put roses on our bed. We feel like they swept every issue under the rug. Talking with other patrons there was similar events happening with others. And the food was not good at all. The staff seemed less than thrilled to serve us. Worst experience!
Fantastic service from the nest staff

Armando, Mickey, Jose, and miguel from the nest were exceptionally friendly and really made me feel welcomed and made the trip amazing. Their service and personalities were great and helped in any way they could. The food and drinks were also very delicious and there was different options in the buffet every day for every meal time.

Mickey and Armando from the nest in hotel number 12 made our trip and our entire vacation. They were very nice and helpful and were very kind to us and told us where to go and what the best activities to do were. Mexican night there was also extremely good and was the best food of the trip.
