Well the week started off good with no line up at check-in. Our rooms weren't ready but that was to be expected since it was early in the day. We had 4 rooms all together and the resort accommodated our request to be close to each other. We were on the first floor which was great because in the upper rooms you could hear everything going on in the other rooms. The rooms are on the small side and it would be a tight fit for a family of 4. Other then that they were clean and well stocked. The food well that were things go down hill. The food at the buffet was the same day in and day out which go very tiresome. Also 7 out of the 9 of us were all ill after eating the one night. Vast improvements need to be made to the buffet, the quality and the temp of the food needs to be improved as well. We were not the only ones that go sick that night either. So many reviews about the beach being great. I though it was ok lots of seaweed to walk through. I guess when I think of beaches in the Caribbean I think of white sand and crystal blue water. Neither of which were present at this resort. Over all I don't think I would return or recommend this resort in the future. If the food would have been better I probably would have a different opinion.

My wife and I stayed for a week, traveled with another couple. Ala carte restaurants were excellent. Buffet restaurants were good. You could find some really good stuff most days. We are not super picky and never went hungry. Drinks are good. Beer is Corona. Bars open at noon (wink, wink). Housekeeping was excellent, service was good, friendly. Activities at the big pool were fun. Had a band one day, foam party one day, pool volleyball and other fun games if you choose to participate. We are not beach people, but plenty seemed to enjoy. We have been to 7 all inclusives in the last 10 years in Mexico and this would rate pretty high. Again, we are just regular folk from Wisconsin.

We visited this resort from Feb. 8- Feb. 15/2020 and this trip was quite possibly the most disappointing and discusting trip we have ever taken to the Mexico area. We decided to upgrade to a "premium superior room" and this was a complete waste of our money! We have previously visited 3 other resorts in the Mayan Riviera and decided to try a different location this time around. For 5 of the 7 days we were in room #6513 we experienced raw sewage floating (yes logs could be seen) on the grassy areas around our suite and four other blocks of suite. You could not walk on any grassy areas without risking stepping in the toxic waste. And the smell was just awful. When complained to the Supervisor the only feedback we received was "we are working on it". Our rooms air conditioner broke down and it took 5 service calls and 4 service people to complete the repair, with one resort service individual walking in to our suite without knocking first and catching me off guard while changing in to my bathing suit. No courtious knock first, he just walked in. The food was absolutely the poorest we have ever experienced, with resort guests falling ill day after day after eating the buffet food, or at the mexican and japanese al la cartes. This was not a Mexican water incidents, this was improper food handling and the almost raw food served daily at the buffet. My husband and I have still not recovered from our adventure to the Japanese a la carte. In the premium area the resort sets up a snack area for the premium guests in the afternoons around 3:30pm. When my husband and I went to the table area we were told tht we could not eat the food until 5pm...the food sat uncovered and poorly heated for 1.5 hours in the 38 degree hot mexican weather with ants crawling all over the food. Absolutely discusting and a complete waste of food. At least 52 people we spoke to had a miserable food experience and were leaving the resort to get what they perceived could only be better food. When we spoke to the Supervisor again there was nothing but excuses, no effort to take corrective actions. Items that were left over from the dinners the night before at the buffet were found as choices for breakfast and lunch the next day. Every day there was a minimum wait of 45 minutes for bacon, and when you requested more or when it would be coming out, the chefs from the back would get mad at you. We were guarenteed free WiFi as part of our package, at no time were we ever provided with the access ID or password. When we would go to the Premium level concierge they would tell us to go to the front desk, when we went to the front desk we were told they could not help us. When we called the front desk for assistance, every time it was "that is an invalid number". The limited times we did get logged on (ID and password provided by other guests in our area) we couldn't move from the premium meeting area or we would loose the signal and then could no longer get logged on. We really tried hard to enjoy our stay at this resort but by Wednesday (Day 4 of our stay) we were almost ready to book an earlier flight home. I was in tears with answers provided by Supervisors, it was almost as if they didn't genuinely care about or concerns or that guests were falling ill at an alarming rate and that raw sewage was a serious problem. This resort and it's Management need to take a serious look at what experience they want for their customers and take quite corrective measures to bring the resort up to the advertised 4+ rating. We want our money back!
