Beautiful Family Friendly Resort

tobewedjune09 (Columbia, South Carolina) on Apr 01, 2024

Family friendly resort. Lots of kids activities. All the staff were attentive and friendly. Kids enjoyed the Easter egg hunts, face painting and animal balloons. The pools are great! Stephenie at Camp Hyatt was so friendly, the kids really enjoyed spending a few hours with her. The magic show by Joey Evans was fun and entertaining. My daughter and I enjoyed the spa, the ladies were very friendly. Enjoyed boat ride to the island. Captain was attentive. Spotted dolphins. Tried to get a reservation at Tanglewood via OpenTable one night, none were available. Called the front desk and they made it happen. We ate at Tarpon Bay as well, excellent food and experience. Resort is beautiful but the friendly and attentive staff take the experience up a notch. Only complaint - we consistently only received two washcloths for our family of 4. However, promptly delivered when requested.

Just an A+ resort for families

Matt C (Florida) on Mar 28, 2024

Family of four spent 4 nights this week at this property during our children’s spring break and I have to say it really is just a fantastic resort run by a very strong staff. We visited the property back in 2019 but just revisited this year when we were trying to find something to do for spring break. The hotel itself is definitely nicer in the rooms since our last visit and whatever room upgrades they did the room was genuinely great and had an awesome esthetic with the hardwood floors. The main lobby area is sort of forgotten because of everything at the back of the property so when inside you never truly feel congested. The main star of this resort of course is the amenities outside and they really are second to none in the state of Florida. We have a 10 year old and 7 year old and they legitamitely played for 5-7 hours per day for four days and were never bored one time. Large pools, slides, lazy river, outdoor terraces, and a great cabana hut provide a ton of value. Yes, you pay for such a nice resort but the amenities mean you aren’t having to go elsewhere to be entertained. We didn’t use the beach this time via boat but we still had an awesome time. The only real downside to the amenities is you need to secure chairs early in the AM because the number of people so if there was something I would recommend it would be to add additional deck chairs. The staff was also amazing at the valet, the housekeeping team, and the outdoor teams. We have a special needs daughters and multiple staff members asked for her name and would encourage her to go down the slides each time - it was great. Something you don’t see a lot even with most of them being younger employees. All in all I would recommend this resort to any family and even though it’s a premium option price-wise you do get a lot of value if you use the facilities. We will definitely be back!
