    Great 3-night stay, no issues. Beautiful setting very close to the marina, activities and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff, especially Bellboy Alberto and Front Desk Marco. Would stay there the next time no doubt.

    Having visited multiple times over the last few years I can’t say enough about the Solmar, the laid-back atmosphere makes it just a great place to be while in Cabo. Outstanding customer service and the same terrific staff are why we continue to come back, not to mention the spacious rooms, the balcony views, the food, the beach, Lands End, all exceptional. Another big plus is the short walk to the Marina to catch a charter boat and fish the Pacific or Sea of Cortez for the day. Bringing the freshly caught fish back to the resort where the Tejaban staff consistently do an awesome job in preparing our catch, the Ceviche was outstanding! We’ll be back sooner than later. Cheers.

    Great Family Resort!

    My wife, 9 month old daughter, and I stayed 6 nights at the Solmar Resort, We really enjoyed the staff! Manny, Alfredo, Claudia, and Frank were particularly friendly! The pool area is nice, but we would love to see Solmar invest in an infinity pool with an ocean view. The beach at the resort is not swimmable due to strong currents. Not being able to swim on the Resort’s property was a little disappointing.

    We just got back from spending six nights here. We had a one bedroom unit. The room was dated but quaint, cleaned and quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable. Probably the most comfortable bed we’ve ever had in Cabo. We did the all inclusive and had all our breakfasts there, most of our lunches and half our dinners. The food and service were both excellent. A special shoutout to Vanessa and Susana at breakfast and Jose at dinner. One night we showed up after the 9:00 o’clock Closing time and instead of telling us they were closed he checked with the kitchen to see if there was anything they could do to accommodate us. He came back and said they could do pizza. That is service! Solmar is the best value in Cabo. Great service, good food and drinks, clean and quiet. My only complaint is that there are mosquitoes. We couldn’t sit on our balcony in the morning without getting bitten. Other than that I’d definitely recommend it.

    Be careful of sneaky room service charges

    To begin, the location and room were beautiful, and the staff for the most part were friendly and helpful- we thought it was better than we saw advertised. One night we went to reception to see if we could get some water, the staff at Concierge told us to order it to our room and the cost would be about $1- $2USD per bottle. We ordered 4 and signed, thinking nothing of it because of the quote given. We did the same on a second night too. On checking out, we noticed the charge for the first water order was $43USD. The second order was $6USD. When we asked why it was so different, the staff were unhelpful and quite rude. They told us it’s because it was “Fiji” water- which we never requested at all. They wouldn’t budge on the cost, and didn’t seem to care at all that we had been told a different price. It put a very bad note on the end of our trip which was a shame as it was a wedding holiday and we have travelled all the way from Australia. If not for this unreasonable charge and rude, unhelpful staff when we questioned it, we would have given 4.5 stars. Disappointing, though the views were stunning.
