Went to this Pueblo Bonito location for the eclipse + a little extra R&R. Our room faced onto the smaller pool (south part of the resort) and that was absolutely the place to be. Joel is one of the bartenders/waiters that makes the rounds at this pool, and he will make your entire vacation perfect in every way. I am completely serious, find Joel and make sure you're in his section. Attentive, predicted when you'd be ready for your next drink, remembers your drink of choice, en pointe suggesting food when you should definitely eat something to offset the booze. I would frankly go anywhere Joel is working, no question. 10 stars for Joel alone.

We stayed at this resort for 2 weeks in March of 2024. It was a wonderful, clean, friendly, well situated resort in the North Golden Zone in Mazatlán. The food was excellent, the grounds well maintained and clean and the beach very walkable. There were 2 pools. One was quiet and the other was a bit more active with programs structured by the very enthusiastic Activity personnel. Breakfast was very good, Cilantro's was the main go to restaurant, the Italian Restaurant was excellent, Pescados offered Asian Fusion and the only disappointment was Palomas , the Mexican Restaurant. Palomas was very under utilized for dinner while there was a lineup for Cilantro's . This could be because of the limited menu and because the offerings did not come with an English translation. Rooms very quiet and clean and offered fabulous ocean views overlooking the manicured grounds. Pillows need to be upgraded. A few minor issues. Pigeons are an issue during the days at the Pescados location and the lounge chairs need to be cleaned more regularly because of these same pigeons and other birds. Location was great because of the green "tourist buses" that travel to Centro just outside the resort. Yes, we would return to this resort!

Resort is very peaceful and service is great! Not typically crowded, can always find chairs at the pool or beach. Love Piscados for dinner! Joel is an awesome server, make sure to find his section! Food at the other restaurants is very good and great service. If you want to buy jewelry on the beach, only buy from Lenard.

This was our first time staying at Pueblo Bonito, Mazatlan. In the past we had always stayed at Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay. We loved the two weeks that we spent at this resort. It’s nearby several good restaurants and fun shops. It’s also directly across the street from a really good massage place that we visited frequently. It’s easy to get an Uber or hop on the city bus when we wanted to go to the Golden Zone or Old Town. When we reflect on our stay, one of the things that stands out most is the staff at the resort. Our waiter at the south pool, Joel, was so impressive. He was always busy, working hard to take care of his guests, but somehow he made us feel like we were his only priority. He would even remember what we had ordered the last time we had been at the pool. What a professional. He was amazing! The staff at Cilantros was also very impressive… We were celebrating our anniversary during our stay, and the staff had a special celebration planned for us complete with hats, songs, and special drinks. Thank you Pedro for making our anniversary so special! You are the best. Also, a special thank you to Fernanda, who kindly helped us through a bump in the road that we experienced during our stay. Fernanda’s thoughtfulness and professionalism was greatly appreciated. All in all I can’t say enough good things about this resort and it’s staff. Can’t wait to get back there next year!

This was our 3rd trip to Pueblo Bonito Mazatlán Beach Resort and we will be back again next year! This resort is absolutely excellent. The food is amazing, the drinks are great, and the beach is incredible. The staff are also amazing; Sebastian, Ricardo, Juan, and Iker are so kind, fun, and provide excellent service! Cilantros has amazing food, the breakfast has amazing French toast and omelets, and for dinner at Cilantros we love the imperial shrimp and garlic mushrooms! We love Pueblo Bonito and cannot wait to return next year!
