Beautiful resort, great customer service. Reneika and Sasha Gaye works in the dining area were just amazing! Keisha from the seafood restaurant really made our dinner extra special. We had a good time, will visit again.

The people are nice - we tipped a dollar for each round of drinks and a two or three at the restaurants. The beach and pool are pretty. Get out early to reserve your chairs. The Covid precautions were very good. The food is not good. The omelets made to order in the morning are the best of the food. The steak house was particularly disappointing. In the words of my daughter, "how do you mess up mac & cheese?" There is no in-room coffee. My husband was in line every morning before the coffee shop opened at 7:30. The towels are scratchy. The literally dirty bathroom rug was never changed. There were no instructions given for how to turn in the air conditioning in the room. (The controls are hidden behind the lamp that sits on the bedside table.) Bring a power strip. There are only two outlets and one of ours didn't work. My daughter unplugged the lamp she she could charge her phone. We went on the "not a timeshare" tour hoping for a nice breakfast and bargaining our time for free spa treatments. The breakfast was the same buffet, but less crowded. We thought that the salesperson would give her presentation while we ate, no, she sat down and ate with us so we had to make small talk for the entire breakfast (she was perfectly nice ). Someone should tell you that massages do not happen in a sp. They take place in one of the rooms down a darkish hall. I'm glad I wasn't by myself! The massages were just fine. Overall, I feel like I overpaid for this trip.

We just returned from our 2nd Family vacation as rose gold members and the service by Felix and his staff was phenomenal. Felix was there at every moment to fulfill every request that we and our five-year-old and his friends had. He seem to anticipate every thing that we needed; he worked with our concierge and Butler to make sure that our dinner plans and other services was ready when we were. In short we cannot wait to go back on vacation again and see our friend Felix and his staff they are absolutely amazing.

    Missed the mark

First of all, most of the staff is wonderful. I understand that COVID has taken its toll on the industry but this hotel just had enough wrong that we managed to get annoyed just about every day. The room A/c has basically two settings which is refrigerator and off. The bedding and towels are scratchy. The lazy river that is advertised just does not move at all. The food is pretty good when you can find it. They should have a buffet available everyday but do not as we have found out twice painfully where you are left to walk around to see which restaurant has room to seat you and hope they have something on the limited menu that you like. The room along with most of the facility is dated. They also do not have one hot tub available to us on the entire property which we usually look forward to at the end of a day. Tipping is also requested on several occasions which was not expected in an all-inclusive resort. There was suppose to be a second hotel that we had access to for their pool and facilities but that is closed. We also had a very nice employee sit with us minutes after we arrived to help us book reservation for the restaurants. That would have been the time to let us know that the buffet was closed on certain nights but instead she pushed a “tour” that she wanted us to attend to try and sell us on some “ prestige club” or more expensive adults only hotel. We had not even made it to our room from the long day of traveling yet. We have managed to have fun and fill in the gaps with room service to keep the kids happy. Again most of the staff is wonderful but they just can’t make up for the hotels downfalls.

Not the place to spend your money, especially if you are of African descent.

The grounds are meticulously kept, the room was cleaned as sceduled, entertainment was great and there are a few employees, such as Franz and Renece who goes above and beyond to ensure guests satisfaction. Restaurant employees need to be correctly trained. If you are spending money expecting to be treated as if you are at a 4 or 5 star hotel, or as you would be treated at Jewel Grand or Secrets, get that out of your head. To be specific, portions served are the buffet is an insult. For salad, you will be served 20 strands of thinly shredded cabbage, two pieces of 1 inch by 2 inches fish fillets, and you better not ask for more because the servers are not having that! If you dare to ask for two of anything they will give you one, or less than what you ask for of anything. If you reiterate your requested the servers will tell you No! On my 3rd to last day there, i asked for 4 fried dumplins at breakfast, I was given two. Upon asking for the remaining two, the server responded with,"REALLY". I spoke to a supervisor (Andre) shortly after. He obviosly spoke to the employees. The following day at breakfast i was pointed out by two of the male employees in the buffet, in an attemp to intimidate my partner and I. One emplyee came from the kitchen and gave the other a signal," yow mi G" and pointed towards me, the one who was signaled first, then signaled the one who was responsible for making omelettes. This is a result of poor management and lack of correctly vetting employees. Spend your money elsewhere. This matter will be directed to the appropriate personel outside of Iberostar Montego Bay.
