Recently went to Knotts Berry Farm Hotel for the first time with family for a vacation. We choose the hotel because they offered a package on reduced tickets to the Knotts Berry Amusement park and was close by. First, the hotel is on the older side as others have written, perhaps similar to a hotel from the 1990's early 2000. The rooms are functional but are dated. Our room faced the splash pad/pool and at 11pm I could hear the people from the pool (i was in 5th floor) and windows were closed....so as others have written, thin walls. My room came with power surge bar as there were not enough electrical outlets on wall. A power surge bar does not show as a higher end hotel in my view...as I do not recall seeing a power surge bar for guests in other major hotels. Amber Waves buffet breakfast that came with hotel and park package was very disappointing....would not pay if I had to do there again. I have seen better breakfasts at other hotels for what was offered. Food just did not taste good. Service was good by all staff in hotel....just the issues above with hotel room and buffet is where improvements need to be made.

If you're going to Knott's Berry Farm, you won't beat the location. But you could very likely beat this property for most everything else. The rooms - from carpet to furnishings to bathroom layout - are all dated. While they can't fix ceiling height without re-doing the whole building, the ceilings only add to the cramped, dated feeling. Hallways are loud, as other reviewers have mentioned. The bed itself was comfortable, and the A/C worked well in my room to cool to the low temperature I like to sleep at! Overall, I'd pick somewhere else unless being on property was an absolute necessity.

We stayed at Knott's Berry Farm Hotel about 10 days ago. I was hoping for so much better. You can tell the moment you walk in that the hotel is dated. You get the same feeling once you make it to your room. An advantage is that it is right next to the Amusement Park and Water Park. Unfortunately there is no shuttle to the Parks. The service is what was so disappointing. The young kids working the desk at check in was a bit frustrating. It seemed like they weren't 100% sure of what they were doing. Of course we could;t check in at arrival time and had to wait a bit. The most frustrating thing was the restaurant. It started with trying to get a reservation for 8 and we were told no, we don't take reservations. We ate at the restaurant for brunch Sunday morning on our way out. What mass confusion and it's a buffet even for the most part. You can order off the menu as well. My wife ordered coffee and about 1o mins went by. She went up and asked another waitress and was told our waitress went on break and would be back soon. I guess it was too much to ask to bring the coffee 1st since she did take the order for it. The food was fair at best, both off the buffet and off the menu. The bacon was under cooked. The overall impression and inside joke among our party was "No". Every time you asked anyone anything the answer was no, sorry we can't. After paying what we did for the weekend, come up with a better answer and find a way to get it done. There are plenty of better options in the area for hotels and definitely for restaurants. I see no advantage in staying at the hotel and definitely not eating at their restaurant. Snoopy made an appearance in the lobby each night and was available for photos which was cool. Hopefully the owners and management can take a look at the hotel, restaurant, training, and system. THere's lots of room fro improvement.

Was a very nice place to stay, and walking distance to Knott's Berry Farm

These rooms are very nice rooms, and very reasonablly priced for their location. This is the most inexpensive and best place to stay if you are taking your family to knott's Berry Farm. You can also enjoy all the different shops that they have around Knott's Berry Farm, without even having to got inside the theme park.

Good location for park but noisy

I read reviews complaining about the noise and it was true. I took a white noise machine which helped but there was a Spirit (cheerleading?) convention with tons of screaming girls who made noise in the hall and their room adjoining ours way after 10:30pm. One in our party was under the 9th floor ballroom and the noise started there at 9am. I paid extra for the Snoopy rooms for the families with children in our group. That was worth it, as the Snoopy decorations were cute, they got Snoopy dolls to keep, and Snoopy came about 8pm to tuck them in. They loved it. We saw him other times too. You could easily walk to the park if you're healthy, the parking lot was convenient to the hotel but out in the sun. You had to request & pay for refrigerators for the standard and Snoopy rooms and they weren't there when we checked in, but they were good about accommodating early checkin. Staff was nice. The one restaurant there was very good but breakfast buffet was expensive. They upgraded us which we appreciated on the nonSnoopy rooms. There are only Snoopy rooms in that hall so we were spread out. (They hadn't told me that on the phone.) It was hard to get any information about electric scooters which you can get at the hotel for $50/day. It was difficult to get a lot of information on the phone before we arrived. Reservations staff was not knowledgeable. The pool was nothing special but was convenient. Overall we liked it..and the staff at the hotel. I had a very helpful manager.
