Got upgraded to a balcony room because of the credit card I have. Stayed 2 nights to visit Hollywood Studios. Hotel is updated and beautiful. Ate at the Italian restaurant and Bluezoo onsite. Both were great, Blue zoo for the win. The boat to Hollywood Studios wasn't running due to Covid but was very walkable to the park. Surroundings were beautiful. Would definitely stay again

In need of a break, we spent Friday and Saturday nights here. We were issued an accommodated room, which was clean and neat, but might have been styled slightly differently from a standard room. We’ve stayed at the Swan before, and this was definitely nicer and more updated overall. Lobby is beautiful and the amenities seem great. We didn’t use any, but there was a lot of bonus availability. Love the proximity to the parks; we did Epcot on Saturday and Hollywood Studios on Sunday, walking to each. Great overall experience, especially for the price point!

We have stayed at the Swan and Dolphin in the past and have always enjoyed it. Our recent 3-night stay at the Dolphin did not disappoint. I was a little wary given some of the negative reviews here but I can only assume these hotels are working with reduced staff due to COVID limitations. Upon check in, I was made aware of the resort fee which is common practice here and no surprise. The only thing that did catch us off guard was the bus situation. The lovely gentleman at the front desk gave me a sheet of paper that noted some of the protocols in place and the start/end times for bussing. However, I never noticed it said “private bus service” and nobody specifically pointed that out. You may want to make that more clear at checkin or prior to booking. If being dropped off at the front door of MK is super important, there are plenty of Disney resorts in walking distance where you can grab a bus. Things that matter to me: Our room was clean, Our floor was quiet, plenty of sanitizer stations everywhere, plenty of space at the pool, staff was friendly and helpful during all interactions. One tip I would offer: ask for a few extra garbage bags at checkin, especially if you have young kids. The small trash bins fill up quickly with no daily housekeeping. We knew when we booked this trip that things wouldn’t be like before but the Dolphin did not disappoint. In fact, my 3-year old expressed interest in long term residency at the Dolphin and shed a tear at checkout. Dolphin staff-you are doing a great job under the circumstances! Thanks for another great stay!

What they seem to forget to tell you about the Dolphin

To start, the Dolphin is a very nice and recently refurbished hotel. The lobby floor with restaurants, bars & stores is pretty and clean. But, I just stayed there in October 2020 and the rest of the hotel needs a big cleaning. I was there for 4 days. This is what I found. The very long hall to my room had 2 large plastic bags of garbage in front of a room for 2 days, on the third it was moved to a hallway junction and then removed by the end of that day. The hallway rug had crumbs, cookie parts and whatever mashed into it, on the third day it was finally vacuumed.....Now the room. My room was a corner room with 2 balconies........sounds nice and was except on day 2 I noticed the 22 dead gnats on the window sill, I cleaned that up. I went out on both balconies to check out the great view (and it was) and found furniture that was mouldy and had not been cleaned in I don't know how long......not to mention the spider webs on all of the chairs, tables, and iron work railings.......and I mean all over. Other than that the room was clean. At this time they do not offer room service to make beds or change towels............not a big deal, if you wanted anything, make a call and it would be delivered. Restaurants were great but had a reduced menu, but still "Bluezoo" was great. Pool area pretty clean and nice but very crowded. Now transportation, another story. No one told me that there seems to be a feud between Disney and Marriott with bus transportation, I found this out the hard way when I needed to get to a park for a dinner reservation and thought that 1 hour would be enough time to get there--it wasn't. This is what the bus drivers told me since the hotel management never notified us upon check in. The Dolphin uses private charter buses to pick you up at the hotel and bring you to a park..............Disney will pick you up at a park and bring you back to the hotel, but won't pick you up at the hotel which all of the guests waiting for a bus found out quickly. A Disney bus would drop off guests and shut it's doors and bye bye it was off, leaving all the guests wondering why they couldn't get on. The private charters also drop you off in different spots, for example, at Magic Kingdom, per our bus driver, you will be dropped off at the Ticket/Trans Center. Then you will have to take a monorail/Boat to the Magic Kingdom instead of being dropped off with all of the other Disney buses at the Park itself. No one told us this. Where they drop you off at Disney Springs, is in my opinion, is not that safe. One night we were dropped off at a parking lot in the West End area that was at best dimly lit and had to walk---seemed like 5 minutes to get to the Cirque du Soleil building to be actually in the Disney Springs area. I was told by the bus driver that the buses arrive every 20 minutes to 30 minutes depending on what driver you asked. Disney buses were socially distanced on board, the private charters were a free for all. Everyone sat in the first 10-15 rows in the front of the bus, no distancing and no one to tell you to .On top of the poor transportation service, the hotel tacks on a $30 fee per day for buses/pool/internet. I found that out when I received my final bill when checking out. Nice hotel but at this time poorly maintained with a bad transportation system. I've been to this hotel when it was new and nice, and then run down badly, then refurbished and beautiful and now starting to go down hill. That's too bad because depending on the year that you visit, you have a chance at staying at a nice hotel

We love Disney and favor Epcot properties and usually stay at Yacht, Beach or Boardwalk. However we got such a great rate at Dolphin we decided to give it a try. Arrived via Uber from airport around 2:30. Quick check in. Room was ready. Lobby is huge, easy to distance and tons of seating. Rooms and hallways feel a bit dated but even though beds are only doubles they are soooooo comfortable! The biggest issue with the room is how tiny the bathroom is. There’s a small sink area then a toilet and shower behind a door. That area is so small you can’t even open the door all the way. The only other negative is that during our stay apparently dolphin/swan stopped being part of Disney transportation and we got dropped off at the transportation center instead of directly at magic kingdom. What a bummer!! We had no clue and that added about 20 minutes to us getting in the park. We absolutely loved the pool. Even on the weekend not overcrowded. Easy to find chairs in the shade. Great service around pool. Decent menu and food. We wouldn’t hesitate staying here again. Lobby bar is large and we enjoyed a cocktail there before dinner. Fuel is their grab and go breakfast and snacks and they did a great job moving the line super quick in the morning. For us the pool, location, great food choices and service make this hotel a 4.5*
