Whether you love it for its prime location, plentiful amenities, or accessibility to the parks, the Polynesian has something to offer for all of its inhabitants. The Polynesian's close proximity to Magic Kingdom keeps the family disputes to a minimum as the monorail ride to the park is only a few minutes. This quick and smooth ride sets the positive tone for a day filled with laughs and joy. Although one might find themselves stuffing their face in Mickey shaped pretzels or ice cream so good it should be illegal, you can enjoy a fantastic meal at the Polynesian. With multiple restaurants to choose from, you are sure to find a dinner that pleases even the pickiest of eaters. I can assure you Anton Ego from "Ratatouille" would rate the Polynesian's restaurants with the highest of reviews. If the location and food still hasn't convinced you to stay at this paradise on earth, perhaps the decadent pools can reveal the true joys this resort has to offer. After a long day of running around the parks, you can unwind at the beautifully designed pools and lounge in comfortable beach chairs. The Polynesian will help you manifest your dream of being a dancer in Lilo's hula class and inspire you to play the song "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" on loop all day.

We went as a family during covid-19. The pools are amazing! Best hotel on property with the coolest kids water park and slides! We will only stay at this hotel from now on when visiting this amazing Magical Place. Hotel room even had an extra bed pull down from wall under the tv for the kids. Perfect stay!!!

I am writing this and hoping that the "decider's" read these posts at Disney consider this as they are redecorating the Polynesian resort. Please add more "water feature's/water wall feature" in the lobby area. It is nice there is more seating available when you arrive. However, The "waterfall" is now so small and ineffective that I hear the dishes clinking in the restaurants when I walk into the lobby. And that is what I and other guests remember. I love Disney, just hoping they improve the experience in the lobby. Thanks for listening:)

With DVC points in hand, my husband booked us 5 nights at the Poly. My second-ever stay at a Disney resort (the first was Coronado Springs in early 2019) and for everything that the world is going through right now, we couldn't find much to complain about :) Whilst our stay was mostly consumed by park visits, we did have time to explore the resort a little and enjoyed the comfort of our cozy (two bathroom -- mega love with the rain shower!) studio room. Both pools were mostly empty (lots of clean towels to go around!), with plenty of social distancing observed, and we invited Orlando-based family friends over for breakfast at Captain Cook's on one of the mornings (bagged breakfasts based on our mobile app orders). Staff were mostly fantastic throughout (a few odd staff at the stores...), generally going the extra mile to make conversations personalized and no doubt excited for the interaction considering the few people staying there. The monorail to Magic Kingdom and the bus to Epcot ran frequently and efficiently, with drivers/platform staff doing a brilliant job to ensure social distancing at all times. We were very impressed. I loved the walk from the Floridian to the Poly and all the geckos running around everywhere! I also love the Poly's theme in general, as both my husband and I are huge fans of the South Pacific.

Although our busy parks schedule meant we didn't spend a ton of time at the resort, we still very much loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. The lobby is so gorgeous and relaxing, and I actually enjoyed the 1970s retro theme throughout the hotel, which felt very true to the hotel's origins without feel dated or tired. We loved our brunch at the Kona Cafe and thought our meal at Captain Cooks was fine. Our room was comfortable and larger than expected and even though we didn't splurge for a nice view of the lagoon, thought it was quiet and relaxing. Having the monorail pass through the hotel was super convenient as well. We didn't spend much time by the big pool, and preferred the very quiet and relaxing "oasis pool." I could clearly go on and on this place and can't recommend it enough!
