Rose Inn International is superb!! Layout of the building is so easy to maneuver and fire friendly ( heaven forbid if we ever face one in our journey) but needless to say safety is important to me. The premises has security who checks entry. Why did I say it's great! Coz it's close to everything like Disney Parks ex. studious(universal and Hollywood) so and so forth???? close to Daytona Beach only an hour away!!!! Loved the staff and room clean everyday unless requested not to be disturbed. We had fun! Lots to see and do around the area????Would come and stay here again in a heartbeat??and recommend the place to friends and family.????

They tried to charge me for a plastic fork

When we first drove up to this place we noticed it definitely looked nicer online than in person. IMO the pictures online were a little deceiving. My son commented "are you sure this is the right place?!?!". I chose this hotel through Universal Studios online and because it was the best deal. We stayed for 4 nights in February of 2020. It's located on International Drive around a lot of other hotels and restaurants. It is about as mile an a half from Universal Studios. The world's largest McDonald's is right next door. There is also a Denny's and Perkins next to it. I want to start off with saying the construction on this road is horrible and good luck getting in and out of this hotel to go anywhere without having to sit in traffic! The rooms was average. It was an outside facing room. There was some traffic noise and sometimes you could hear people talking loudly while walking down the hall at night to their rooms. Overall the room was clean, yes it could use some updating but you get what you pay for. The air conditioner wasn't loud but it seemed to never cool the room down. The air conditioner would come on make the room cold and then cut off. We couldn't get it to stay on. We woke up in the middle of the night sweating because the room was always humid even with the air conditioner running. While we were here we did one morning at the breakfast buffet and one dinner at the dinner buffet. When I booked the room food coupons/vouchers were not included, so I had to pay out of pocket. When booking I suggest trying to see if you can get vouchers for the buffets, because it is not worth what you pay. Granted the food in this area of town is overpriced due to all the tourist. It is equivalent to a Golden Corral but with less choices. Pros of the hotel: The Universal Studios Staff and the use of buses to the parks. The Universal Staff was incredibly helpful with booking buses and the buses were always on time and the drivers were great. Make sure you book your bus 24 hours in advance, you don't need to book the return trip. One time we experienced an overcrowded bus where we had to stand up. I would assume the buses are very crowded in the summer. Cons: The hotel staff was hit or miss. The people while checking in were nice enough and the people who worked at the restaurant were polite. The people who worked in the store though were rude and seemed like they HATED their jobs. My son went into to ask for a plastic fork so he could eat some leftovers and they LITERALLY told him they don't give out utensils and he would have to buy them. What kind of low budget hotel would try to charge a child for 1 plastic fork??!?! After he was told that I proceeded over to the restaurant part of the hotel who graciously gave us a fork, they even questioned the people in the store who said "nope she would have to pay"! So shout out to the nice man who worked at the restaurant who gave us the fork. Now I don't know if the restaurateur part of the hotel is owned separately from the store or what but to try to charge a child for a plastic fork is ridiculous. It's not like the people in the store were even busy they were just all sitting around talking to each other. They could have at least said no you have to go over to the restaurant and get one. To the staff in the store if you really hate your job that much maybe you should go find a new one! Sadly reading other reviews it seems like I am not the only person to have had issues with the staff. Tip: If anyone offers you a welcome package just say no as this is for a time share! Overall I would not stay here again.

We stayed at the Rosen International whilst on our holiday in October 2019, it was perfect for us. We requested a top floor pool view room which we got. The rooms are spacious - plenty of room for just the two of us, and would easily fit a family in! Room comes with a kitchenette area with a microwave, coffee machine, fridge, ice bucket and storage - the coffee was replenished every day as where fresh towels. Location wise this was a perfect spot for us, we could walk to universal studios - took us about 40 mins. We where able to hop on the iride to get to the outlets and seaworld and aquatica and we walked to restaurants and to the Walmart (uber back from walmart only a few dollars!!) We ate in the hotel restaurant for breakfast twice as we had free vouchers and it was great for a quick snack. We used uber to get to florida and disney and it was not expensive. We have looked at other hotels and options for our return trip in 2022 and to be honest we have agreed that we will be staying at the Rosen International again which we can't wait for.

We arrived from London feeling tired after a long flight, but the receptionist could not locate our booking, despite me having given her the reference number provided by Virgin Holidays. Eventually, it took around 35 minutes to sort out before we were finally given our electronic key cards and left to find our own way to our rooms in the dark and rain. Be warned: this is not a hotel according to the normally accepted definition, but actually more of a motel complex. Rooms are gloomy (think 70s retro but looking just as old) and situated in a number of buildings with access only to the walkway and car park outside, in much the same way that small motels are organised, except on a larger scale, and they are not particularly near any amenities so expect to do some walking. Even the available ones that would normally be associated with a good quality 'city hotel' dependant on tourism are very few and far between, and what there are gets even less so late at night. The showers are appalling in that their pressure is weak, while the head is permanently fixed high on the wall, so not good for reaching the undersides of the body. Therefore, bear this in mind if good cleanliness is important to you, especially if you're disabled. They also tend to be fiddly and awkward for switching from bath tap to shower mode. The toilet tissue was of ultra-cheap quality and would easily tear in the hand when used, which can be very unpleasant. The television offering is basic, limited to a small number of cable channels, most of which are news-based, so don't expect much in the way of entertainment from it. The sound for Fox News had been silenced, thereby suggesting either an anti-Trump or anti-conservative political bias by the owners of this disappointing establishment. Only an idiot management would seek to impose such political censorship onto the paying customers! Finally, be prepared to have your sleep disturbed by activity outside, even by people talking, due to the fact that sound insulation is very poor. This could have been abated had the company invested in some decent double-glazing. Calling this establishment a 'hotel' is an act of deception, because the whole experience made us feel as if we were staying in a big, cheap, overpriced motel - which it actually is! Both myself and my travelling companion would not be inclined to stay there again.
