Our favorite Disney resorts are the Boardwalk and Beach Club but since both of these are shuttered, we got switched to the Yacht Club. Rooms are identical size as the Beach Club but have hardwood floors instead of carpet. The old thing about this at the Yacht Club is the beds are raised and you have significantly more storage under the beds. The closet storage is also superior to the Beach Club. The Yacht Club feels a little more “grownup like” than Beach Club. Location is superb. We still prefer the Boardwalk and Beach Club but would not hesitate to stay here again.

    a little dissapointed

Just not what I'd expect for a hotel room in the list of top tier resorts.

Pros: The safety measures, friendliness of staff, and cleanliness were all EXCELLENT. The Ale & Compass indoor bar and restaurant had GREAT FOOD. The OUTDOOR GROUNDS are very PRETTY. Shower faucets/ pressure is great. Cons: Expected more given its ranking as one of their highest tier resorts: 1) NO REFRIGERATOR in room. 2) Requested a king - got 2 queens & a cheap-looking pull out couch. The room just isn't all that attractive. 3) Ale & Compass Marketplace: Despite adequate # of baristas, poor service in terms wait times and order accuracy. I'm being kind with that description. Hope this helps. It was nice-- just not as I'd expected given its description.

Traveling during a pandemic can be nerve wracking, but Disney does make it easy. We completed the online check in process. We were notified by text when our room was ready with our room number. Social distancing markings were clearly marked. Every staff member were wearing masks, and on a few occasions we saw a staff member cleaning high touch areas. The quick service location had mobile order and made social distancing easy. We did see a few guests without a mask, but in a hotel of this size I am sure a few try to get away with it. These instances were few and far between. The staff was quick to tell people to wear a mask when they saw it. The hotel is big and our room was really far down the hallway. It didn't bother us, but after a long at the parks it might be bothersome to others. The distance to Epcot is really fantastic. The access to the Skyliner was convenient when it came to traveling to Hollywood Studios. Overall this is an excellent choice for a hotel while at Disney World.

My son asked to go to Disney overnight. We love staying over at Disney and have been missing it during the pandemic. We've stayed at most of the moderate and deluxe resorts.I haven't been travelling due to immune issues, but my son rarely asks me for anything. Disney is known for it's customer service and cleanliness so I figured if any one can handle this well, Disney can. My son's girlfriend has stayed overnight numerous times since it's reopening and I have a former student who works there and both were impressed with the company's process so I figured we'll try it. I spent most of the time at the hotel, away from crowds. We've stayed at Yacht Club before and it's a great location. You can easily enter Epcot, minus the large crowd at the front gate, use the skyliner or walk to Hollywood Studios. Pre-Covid we'd monorail over to Magic Kingdom as well. The staff exceeded expectations, as they often do - it was super clean, low contact. We checked in online as requested, but wanted to speak to someone to clarify that we were using our existing magic bands and not the ones that "are waiting for you at check-in." The staff member we approached was "Check-in," no desk, so it was handled in 1 minute. Our room was ready on arrival, got a text message in the parking lot! However, upon entering our room we saw 1 king size bed. I called the front desk and asked if we could get 2 beds or a blow up mattress since my 19 year old and I aren't going to share a bed. We were immediately sent to an even nicer room with 2 queen size beds and a large patio balcony!! I love Disney! I don't know if I selected the wrong room or they just assumed 2 adults would use one king size bed. I still wiped down all surfaces we'd touch and brought our own pillow cases, but Disney has instituted deeper cleaning protocol so I'm sure it wasn't needed. The only issue with Yacht Club is the walls are super thin and I heard every conversation next door, but I knew that from reviews and a previous stay. Due to limited capacity the food selections are limited so what's open at the resort is super busy and the emphasis is on mobile orders. Knowing we didn't use the mobile order option, we just grabbed a to-go sandwich and muffin for breakfast, but it took almost 20 minutes to get our caramel macchiatos. I had to ask someone to start making the coffee since they took our order but the food prep people were only focusing on mobile orders. Hand sanitizers are everywhere and tables are cleaned often. Overall, our stay was really great, I felt very safe, and the staff went out of their way to help as they usually do. Plus, right now prices are pretty great!
