Great hotel and location, beautiful property, just need more activities for teens

Beautiful property and hotel. Pools are all nicely heated. Waterpark definitely for more adventurous or slightly older kids as it is either tall or fast or dark. Room service for breakfast was quick and reasonably priced. Bed was comfortable. Loved the sound machine as the constant din from the convention in the evenings was loud but nicely drowned out by the white noise sound machine. I had asked for foam pillows and they came to the room quickly but they were so worn down and shabby that they weren't usable. Asked for a new batch and they were the same. So these need replacing. Teenager on the rollaway bed said it was comfortable. Only thing we wished is that there was more for teenagers to do. There was cornhole or hitting golf balls at the driving range. They don't play pickleball or tennis. Basketball court would have been great as would a ping pong table or shuffleboard. The indoor gameroom is sorta laughable, a little more effort can be put in. We enjoyed our stay but to be honest I would look for a property with a little more for teens to do - it's a tough age to keep them entertained.
Great stay as always

We had a great time celebrating Valentine's Day. As an Ambassador Elite we've been upgraded to One Bedroom Suite, very spacious and comfortable with a nice view of the resort. Very special Thanks to Dejan Susak for a surprise he prepared for us in the room and took care of us during our stay. We are looking forward to coming back soon and fully enjoy all the pools and water park.
The staff leave you wanting to come back

We came across this hotel from a Costco travel deal and from the moment we got there, we were pleasantly surprised at how huge the resort was. Apparently, it's the biggest one in the Phoenix area. We were visiting from the Seattle area for a birthday weekend getaway and it was a great weekend to escape the cold tundra back at home. From the moment we got there, all of the staff were friendly, attentive, and kind. Our front desk host/concierge Josue was awesome. Knowing we were from Seattle and traveling to Vancouver in the next month, he gave us recommendations both locally and for Vancouver that were really thoughtful and helpful since we are foodies. We are looking forward to trying out some of his recommendations there. Going back to this trip, our room was great, the pool areas were nice, and the bar and restaurant staff were equally as delightful as our desk host. Tim at Tia Carmen was attentive and helpful as a waiter and overall, all of the staff we encountered at this resort are what really put the experience over the top. The resort itself is nice and sprawling, and you may get lost finding your room, but the staff are what would make us want to return.
5 Stars for the JW Marriott in Phoenix

We went with our 5 grandchildren, 13-25, to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary. It was a unique time given that it was Christmas week so staffing was somewhat affected but not problem for us. All staff at the hotel, in the hotel, at the pool, in the restaurants, etc were cordial, friendly and helpful. Rooms were lovely and every part of the hotel/resort was clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to accommodate anything we requested. Coming in the warmer weather would enable use of the pools and slides (which are incredible) but we were limited to winter vacation. We were on a Costco Package and put in touch with the hotel during our planning stages - so we were aware of activities at the resort and surrounding areas. I would recommend this resort and encourage you to plan ahead with the concierge so you have some idea if reservations for activities in the hotel and area are suggested . Have fun.

We just concluded a 3 night stay over New Years , and we just loved this property . For an older resort , it feels contemporary and well maintained . We loved our room , meals and resort activities . What makes the resort exceptional and worthy of 5 stars , however , is the incredible staff . We are seasoned world travelers and have never experienced such a kind , caring and competent staff . There wastes one weak link .Special shout outs to 3 of the best , McKenna at the front desk , Ki in the lobby lounge and Omar in the lobby ! We can’t wait to go back !
