Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit

It was our first time at this grand velas location. We loved every minute of it. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with so much warmth and professionalism. Maria and Daniella (the concierge ladies) made sure ALL our needs were met. We were texting with them via whatsapp which made the whole experience so much smoother. They literally take care of all your little and big needs. Food at this hotel is beyond excellent. The restaurants are beautiful and their food presentation is 5 stars. My brother has food restrictions and the hotel was able to accommodate all his requirements. The kids club was fantastic for my 3 kids. The girls working there are super fun and responsible. My 4 & 5 year olds had a blast there. My almost 3 year old required a nanny for an additional charge but it was so worth it. They spent a whole day there while my husband and I got pampered at the spa. Our masseuses, Carmen and Luz, were fantastic. Best massages ever! Beautiful spa experience. Highly recommend!!!! Shout out to all the hard working guys at the beach and pool; just to name a few...Antonio, Leonel, Victor, Mitzi, took REALLY good care of us. Service was honestly exceptional! As far as COVID19, we felt extremely safe on property. All staff wears masks and face shields. There are a bunch of hand sanitizers around the property. I felt safer here than at my local Costco since the hotel was at a minimal capacity. Bottom line, we had the best family vacation with an impeccable service. Thank you Grand Velas for a much needed beach vacation.

We’ve stayed at dozens of all-inclusive (and exclusive) resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean. By a huge measure, this is the best food of any restaurants. And their included wine list is REALLY, really extensive. (Maybe 30 wines!!!) Executive Chef Guillaume Morance is doing a superb job! The service by the staff throughout is friendly, welcoming and heart-felt.

What an UNBELIEVABLE and TRULY AMAZING week we just spent at this outstanding resort! It was beyond compare to any place we had ever stayed! ADRIAN, our pre-arrival concierge, took care of arranging our golf reservations and answering all of our questions before our travel date. From the moment we arrived the polite and welcoming staff took such great care of our every need and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Upon arrival we were welcomed by a friendly bell and front desk staff and while we registered we were presented with a tropical refreshment, and neck massage by their spa staff. Throughout our stay, Both DANIELLA and MARIA, our personal concierges, accommodated our requests, assisted with dinner and golf reservations, and also made suggestions for activities in the area and even surprised us with champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and rose pedals in our room after dinner one night for our anniversary celebration. In addition, GABRIEL at the bell desk arranged reliable and clean taxis for our journeys off property. The food at all of the restaurants was absolutely unreal! FRANSISCO, our waiter each night was so accommodating and made wonderful suggestions for food and provided over the top service. Everything was fresh and delicious with amazing presentation. Our drinks were always made with top shelf liquors and TONO and his serving team at the pool had our drinks ready as we arrived, refilled before we could ask, and tended to our every need. Again, the food, even at the poolside service was remarkable. As for COVID-19 concerns, this place was absolutely conscientious and conservative. All guests checked in with temperature checks, medical questionnaires, and all items were sanitized. We are not terribly concerned, but if you are, sanitizer is everywhere and all staff where face coverings and face shields. Without question, we will stay here again and recommend to all of our friends who are traveling to the area to try The Grand Velas! Fabulous memories were made in this magical place!

We were concerned about traveling during COVID and... we shouldn't have been. No surprise, Grand Velas has put every precaution in place for us to feel safe. We had our temperature checked when we arrived, hand sanitizer is in the lobbies and all the restaurants, employees always have masks and usually have shields too, dining (though indoors) was always well socially distanced from other tables... we were there for one of the Christmas parties and the kids club staff was even sanitizing the carousel and pinata stick after every single use. The hotel was limited to 50% occupancy and unfortunately was only around 20%... which meant that it felt like staff outnumbered guests. Low occupancy didn't mean low energy, and GV continued to pull out all the stops. Days were full of activities like aqua forza, beach volleyball, soccer, etc. Shows at were going on at night. Service was spectacular (as always). This was our third visit, and we've already booked our fourth. One of the things that makes this place so special is the staff -- and we've seen the same people across multiple visits. Everyone was amazing, particularly the pool and activities staff -- Diego, Ever, and Marco at the activities desk and Mitzi, Antonio, Victor, and many others at the pool. This was also my first visit to the spa which was amazing -- my massage was much better than a typical hotel spa, and there's a great sauna/steam room experience beforehand. Thank you, and we can't wait to go back!

We went and had so much fun with all of the activity leaders playing soccer, beach volleyball all the time, teens club was amazing overall so much. The activity guys name were marco and diego if you ever go tell them i said hi so amazing
