Enjoyed our 3rd time being there. Despite the issues that have affected the DR area. People have to research there trips and be cautious about any place. No injuries, no sickness and no deaths. Awesome place to vacation will be back! My VIP member service staff (Angel) is the greatest. Ingrid in the salon is precious. Bry in guest services was so nice and professional. Thanks Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach Bayahibe!

Best vacation 2019! No worries whatsoever!

We loved the resort. Everything was great minus the buffet, but we always found something to eat and the sit down restaurants we’re wonderful. Staff was amazing. From the maids to the entertainment, everyone was friendly and helpful (except the girls at the viva store). They definitely cater to Europeans but it didn’t bother us. We went with an open mind, ready to have fun and we did. We felt very safe. Do not fear going there. There’s a lot of bad press about the Dominican. We found it to be inviting and felt comfortable. We did not leave the resort but we didn’t need to. Go enjoy your vacations! And if you’re brave enough, try the trapeze. My daughter did it and loved it!

This was the second time my fiancé and I visited the Punta Cana area and stayed in an all inclusive for a rather good price through a travel agency so I have something to compare it with, with that being said, do not go here. There are hardly any American guests and almost no employee understands english which makes it very difficult to figure anything out here. Upon arrival, we received a room with two double beds even though we were promised a king (not a huge deal). The shower had black mold in it and there was hardly any water pressure and sometimes no hot water at all. After we checked in, no one explain anything to us or told us we needed to make reservations for dinner. By the time we figured that out the next morning, all of the restaurants were already booked except for two days so we had to eat at the same buffet most of the days. The food was decent but you don't get a server and cant even get an alcoholic drink with dinner unless you are VIP. Also we had been willing to upgrade to VIP for a decent price but was never offered it until our very last day. It turns out to become VIP, you have to sit through a business pitch where they convince you to donate between $4,000 and $100,000 to Viva Wyndham in exchange for discounts on future vacations and VIP service. After nearly two hours of being pressured to do this we finally interrupted and explained that it was a big decision to make and we would have to think about it but that it was our last day and we were sick of wasting it indoors. After he heard that we were immediately escorted out and asked to leave and were thrown a t-shirt. It was super frustrating considering it was in the middle of the afternoon on our last day. Also, the only area you can get a drink is the pool bar that is so packed it takes around 12 minutes to get a drink. We got somewhat better services when we tipped more, but it was still a really long time and there was no waiting staff on the beach. We stayed at Bavaro Princess in Punta Cana last year and felt that everyone there was 10000% more attentive and that resort price was even cheaper. The beach had a ton of rocks in it which was annoying and they do not have any umbrellas to sit under unless you are VIP. I love the sun but my fiance got so sunburnt on our very first day because there was 0 opportunity for shade, even when applying a ton of sunscreen. The entire resort seemed like it was made to cater to the VIP members but I literally only saw a handful of people in any of the areas, while everyone else was fighting for a chair. Asking any employees anything in english was impossible. The best part of the whole trip was the Isla Saona excursion and I recommend that 10000% and was guided by the Viva Wyndham team which was the first time we were shown any gratitude by any of the employees. If you are looking into this resort because it is a good price, I promise you there are bettter resorts for the same, if not better of a rate. KEEP LOOKING. Punta Cana is beautiful and so is La Romana, read many reviews but do not choose this resort, I know for a fact that there is better out there because we have seen it.
