    We arrived on 6/8 for 2 weeks after having a two hour flight delay with TUI and being picked up from the airport in the oldest transfer minibus on the island!!! On arrival to the resort we were asked if we would like to upgrade to Premium at a cost of 350$ for two weeks (50% discount), we decided to do this as we wanted wifi and we would have to pay 30$ per week per device!! We were also told we had a room upgrade but believe this wasn't true as non premium guests stayed in the same block so room was already allocated. A couple we met were offered a week upgrade to Premium for 500$ so I think there is no consistency with amount charged. On day 1 the fan in our room blew the fuses and needed to be repaired as this happened late we didn't get it fixed until the following morning. The maintenance guy came and fixed, within 5 minutes of him leaving the room it happened again!! They offered for us to move room but we declined as didn't want to pack and unpack...again!! They replaced the light/fan with a new one and we didn't have any further issues. We had to ask for more towels in the bathroom as 2 towels wasn't enough for 3 people this problem was quickly resolved just needed to ask. Staff!!!!! I found the majority of staff sullen, unapproachable and rude towards to certain people...British (my opinion!!). The staff at the concierge desk in the Premium lounge never once smiled at us and made you feel like a nuisance even if booking a reservation for an evening meal!! They need to improve their customer service! Pool areas need an upgrade...there is a black waxy texture in areas under the water...not sure what it is!? However it didn't stop us getting in to cool down! Premium pool was spotless so shows what standards could be like. Sun beds need to be replaced at the family pool area to the same as the other pool areas as these were far more comfortable. Food - no problems with food, there was plenty of choice and we did prefer the buffet restaurant because portions were small at other eateries. Our daughter enjoyed the pizza snack area every lunchtime and this food can be eaten by the pool. I'm happy to say there were no tummy upsets in our family, it was an initial concern seeing the amount of tummy medication in the 'Memories' shop window at the hotel!! Invasion of locals - on the 16/8 until 18/8 the locals came for the weekend this change the whole dynamics of the hotel, the took over the family pool area, restaurants and bar areas and the noise level around these areas increased significantly! The music at the pool was that loud we relocated to the relax pool! There was a shortage of pool towels and even being told there would be more in 5 minutes they never materialised! However on 19/8 normal service resumed, thank goodness. Activities - There were activities at the pool every afternoon which were very much steered towards non-English speakers as when they spoke on the microphone we couldn't understand what they were saying! The resort contained mainly Russian, Italian, Venezuelan, Canadian, American, Dominican and French. We did have a lovely holiday and were fortunate enough to meet another British family who we spent time with and formed a good friendship. We won't be returning to the Impressive but we were informed the resort had been taken over 2 months previous and that they know changes need to be made and were hoping to make it into a 5* hotel.

    We had a family holiday at this hotel. Rooms were excellent but most impressive of all were the staff. They couldn’t do enough for you. Entertainment staff, especially super salami were outstanding. Always on the go and the evening shows were great. Just wish we had free wi fi

    This hotel is very nice. We really enjoyed the hotel, staff were amazing. We loved laying by the pool watching the entertainment. The entertainment staff put a lot of effort into the games. Super Salami made us feel very welcome and always had us laughing

    I had a great time overall! The weather was nice and the beach was beautiful . There were some small details that made my stay less wonderful. Firstly, the food wasn’t amazing and the staff are very slow at the restaurants. Towels run out very quickly and there is non stop music playing around the pool area. It is very noisy so not ideal if you are looking for a quite holiday. Apart from that I loved my visit in Punta Cana. We booked tours to visit Santo Domingo, Saona Island and local farmers. In the future I don’t think I will do an all inclusive trip here again.

    Hotel was perfect! Great service. The best kids club. My daughter has birthday. Young concierge Yaritza organize birthday party for us. Ladies from kids club were perfect. Many thanks one more time! Zosia is sending best regards. My daughter like more club than bitch or pool. Food was great. All inclusive is really all. I recommend hotel and Dominicana for vacation.
