Fantastic experience

Lovely friendly staff and beautifully maintained resort. The whole place is designed to help you to relax. All levels of staff go out of their way to make you feel ‘at home’. We would visit again.

I want to thank everyone single person at the Zoetry for making our trip so memorable and personal. Thank you for making us feel like family and treating my kids like their own. This was something we will always remember and will certainly come back.

Beautiful, but so many maintenance issues

Kimberly G (Delaware) on Apr 19, 2024

This has always been my favorite property in the area, having visited four times now. This was a post-stay to a work retreat I had at another local resort, but this was to be the more upscale vibe to relax on the end. From the minute you arrive here, it is truly paradise, and you feel the stress melt away. Unfortunately, we had some ongoing maintenance issues that were never resolved that kept us from truly relaxing. We arrived around noon, knowing that our room probably wouldn't be ready which we were prepared for. The Concierge walked us to the pool, and we were told 1 hour. We did wait until about 2:30 to check with them and I think our room was ready around 3pm. I understand that this can happen, but just being honest about the time is fairer to the client. Breakfast at Amaya was so nice, the Coffee shop was delicious, and we always enjoyed the service there each morning. Lunch at Indigo was okay, I found a chicken bone in my quesadilla the first day that kind of turned me off. Burgers and Fries were good the following days for a quick bite. Dinners we did the Italian, Med and Pizza night, all were delicious. Jenalley, Felix and Jardy were so much fun and made out dinners very special. This was the most occupied that I've ever seen the property, and the two main pools aren't equipped with enough loungers if you want to be by a pool and beach with drink services. The last stays they had servers walking around the lazy river pool, but we didn't have it this stay. I think my largest complaint is that the smoking policy isn't enforced. There was a gentleman who had a cigar in his mouth everywhere he was, in the pool, at the bar, at the coffee shop, etc and while he may feel entitlement to do so, it ruins everyone else's experience. This was the case with many guests, and I think designated areas should be enforced. And lastly, our maintenance issues really put a damper on this trip. We had the first full day (while it poured rain) filled with visit after visit of Maintenace in our room. The air conditioning dripping on us all night, soaking the pillows and sheets didn't make for good sleep quality. We also had TV issues, the safe was broken, no working drain in the tub and the lamp shades were filthy. Not quite the quality you expect for this level of cost. We did ask for days for a room change, but it was ignored. We ended up moving the bed and dealt with the other things, as we were tired of complaining. Minus the room issues, this place still has many good things that keep it one of the better options in the area. The food, overall staff and beautiful grounds keep it a step above for me. Included laundry is also such a nice inclusion.

Best Vacation Ever

Al_Mary_NJ on Apr 18, 2024

Our room, 121, was located on the beach with a plunge pool. It was located in the center set of buildings. For us, it was perfectly positioned between either of the pools, and close to the Indigo restaurant for breakfast. Lunch was culturally varied daily and served on the beach. Very convenient! A short walk out our patio doors to the well kept, soft sand beach made the stay even more enjoyable. There is a minor seaweed issue, but worth mentioning as the maintenance crew keeps up with it very well. We could hear the soft crashing of the distant waves at night that was very soothing. The room was perfect and the housekeeping staff was very attentive to detail. The grounds are immaculate and the website pictures do not do it justice. Walking to and from dinner was always an experience, always finding a new flower or plant leaf design. The staff was extremely friendly, you can’t walk passed a staff member without an ola. Most of the staff members speak English, however, there are a few that don’t. In that case, we were still able to convey our requests. Leaving the best for last, Amada, the concierge and “she who does it all” made our stay unbelievably special. I retired and it was my wife’s birthday. She threw us a Birthday/Retirement party with a few staff members to make it a special moment. As she said, we could not have our family there, so they became our family. There are too many staff members to mention as they all were extremely friendly, pleasant and helpful, but a special thanks to Rudinella, Fernando, Confessor. All the restaurant staff was exemplary and I wish I could remember all there names.

Quiet & Peaceful & Well Maintained

133cathin (West Hartford, Connecticut) on Apr 15, 2024

This review is written for those who have never stayed at an all inclusive resort in the Caribbean. Our travel has been more adventurous but this April we were ready to slow down & try a beach vacation. We are Hyatt property fans and this did not disappoint. We especially loved the peaceful, unhurried pace. The grounds are well maintained & beautiful. From the moment you enter the property all of the staff from grounds keepers to housekeepers to waitresses & waiters greet you with a smile & friendly hello. What we loved * the coffee cafe open at 7am with never a line & a great cappuccino. We brought our own yeti mugs from home so we didn’t need refills. There was a coffee maker in your room & coffee delivery option as well. * After a leisurely morning waking up & walking the beach which was very windy we would go to breakfast. No lines, no waiting & delicious choices. The avocado salad with poached eggs was a healthy start and delicious smoothies. * We always chose the quiet pool area away from the bar but if you like a party area that choice is yours * The beach lunch buffet was always good starting at 12:30 pm * Our concierge Wiris was always available if needed especially when I needed a prescription filled. He quickly took action for us & is kind & thoughtful * Dinners were also excellent. I’ve read the negative reviews & I don’t have a comparison but we were pleased. The steak dinner& barbecue night, pizza & room service burger & fries were all well prepared. Grilled veggies @ fish were also good. * We upgraded to pool suite but I think any room would be fine. * The spa was peaceful & my massage very relaxing What I’d do differently * Say no to the extra coupons & sales pitch. * Hire a driver when we arrived rather than the hotel company service. That puts you in a sales loop that we didn’t expect. We felt like rookies. The more experienced guests knew enough to say no. * Ask for a room on 2nd level for better views * the poor internet was frustrating & unexpected. It may have been our room which did have some ac issues & phone issues but the staff tried to address the issue
