Excellent staff

Elaina V on Apr 12, 2024

My friends and I had a wonderful time at this resort. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautifully kept and the views are breathtaking. The employees are warm and helpful. We were especially grateful for the wonderful service we received from Alexandra at Zava. She waited on us several times during our stay and anticipated our every need, going above and beyond every expectation. I cannot overstate how well-cared for we felt every time we sat at her table. We also really appreciated the daily yoga and water aerobic classes offered by Jorge. He manages to make everything fun.

Good fun times

The hotel is luxurious and the treatment from everyone who works there is the best, they will go above and beyond to make you feel pampered. Among them, it is worth highlighting that the entertainment guys are very friendly. Omar, Luis and the others will always be available for a good chat. Or to resolve any concerns you have The food is phenomenal and the shows at night are amazing.

Perfect Resort for a Wedding!

Hanna B on Apr 10, 2024

My sister got married here and had an excellent experience! There were 60 guests in total and the wedding coordinator, Yire, made her dream come true. We are so appreciative of Yire and all of the staff at Azul. Overall it is a beautiful resort with plenty to do, but no overwhelming and easy to get around. Recommendation: Use Lomas travel to get to and from the Cancun airport and the resort! They are excellent.

Don’t go here!

Do NOT go to Azul Beach Resort Cancun. A boy was electrocuted in the pool!!! Yes. He was resuscitated but by 3 vacationers not by staff. Clearly the resort needs work. On the surface it looks good and staff are excellent trying to make our holiday the best. But there are soooo many other better places in Cancun. Keep searching. The whole place is loud!!! Even the ‘quiet pool’ is blasted with very loud music. The exercise/activities staff have absolutely no interest in listening to anyone asking to lower the volume of the music - even the classes are over! When I asked - AFTER the class - if the music could be turned down or off, the other people on the beach cheered!! Tapas is a wonderful restaurant but it was so loud, we left. Just got up and walked out. This is not a quiet family resort. Azul is part of the Prestige Resorts. We will never go to another Prestige Resort again.

The worst holiday I have ever been on. One hotel to avoid!

Laura-jane A on Apr 09, 2024

We have had a terrible experience at the Azul Beach resort in Mexico. We arrived a day after a serious incident in one of the swimming pools where a family of three were injured by electrocution leaving all three requiring hospital treatment. The staff did not notify us of the incident and when asking why the pool was closed their response was “maintenance.” We were made aware of the incident by other guests who witnessed the incident and when asking staff again concerned for our safety using the pool we were told no accident had happened in the pool. A further adult and three children also received shocks in the pool during our stay. Which made us very anxious for our safety and when talking to the TUI rep about our concerns we were told yes an incident had happened but no power was on in the pools now. However the lights remained on throughout our stay and men continued to investigate the lights in the pools. We asked to move hotels due to our concerns and was refused as the hotel staff were saying there was no problem with the pools. The pool remained closed throughout our stay and we did not enter the other pools because of the shocks continuing to occur.
