We returned back from The TUI Sensimar side of the hotel on the 12th October and had a really enjoyable stay. The hotel was very good, all the staff would say hello to you all day and were very friendly. We paid extra for a Premium room which gave us access to the premium pool and bar and we are so glad that we did. It was very peaceful and only had fellow Brits there all looking for the same relaxation as we were. Martha the waitress was fantastic and would always be round asking if we would like a drink and the food at the premium pool bar was also good. The sunbathing area has some trees so picking a good spot is important. Maybe losing a few of the trees may be beneficial and ensuring there are fully-functioning umbrellas for those that want shade - every umbrella we tried had the pin missing so we resorted to using coffee stirrers to hold them up, though management were round trying to sort these when we were there. The selection of restaurants was brilliant. Notable ones for us were Klay Talay and Mia Casa. The weekly Mexican night was also really good and the food was delicious. The hotel buffet restaurants were also very good with plenty of choice and had whatever you fancied for breakfast. Our room was 305 in the Premium section. It was plenty big enough for the two of us and it was really nice to have two sinks and a huge shower, as well as a Jacuzzi. We liked the bed on the balcony and the bed in the room was very comfy, although I had to ask for some softer pillows from reception a couple of days in - this was sorted very promptly. The minibar was well stocked of lager and soft drinks, however we would have benefit from some spirits such as gin and vodka for my partner who doesn't drink lager and therefore there was nothing for her to drink from it. Room service was prompt with plenty of choice, however the 3 times we ordered it, it arrived warm/cold and therefore wasn't too great. The housekeeping was okay and the turndown service in the evenings was very nice - they cleaned the shower and bath after we had got ready for the evening and made the bed again following the obligatory nap in the afternoon! The floor wasn't swept, however, for most of our stay and there was the odd thick layers of dust dotted around but nothing too bad - nothing that ruined our holiday anyway! Overall we would go back to this hotel as we loved it. We would also pay extra for the Premium rooms again and maybe even the Premium swim-up rooms.

This all inclusive experience was outstanding. Myself and my parter are big foodies so we were very impressed with the quality of food at each meal. We loved it. The staff were also all very lovely and super helpful. I had a very relaxing two weeks and have been recommending it to everyone I speak it.

    Lovely holiday ??

We have just returned from 10 nights of luxury! I have stayed in many 5 star gourmets before and this one certainly lives up to expectation and I was a little worried from reading some people’s reviews. We have nothing negative to say so thought we would be useful instead and write some helpful tips so you can fully enjoy your stay :) Food: Booking: you now have to book to go to any of the evening restaurants, you can do this 3 days in advance and I would advise planning this and doing 3 days at a time so you can get your preferred times and choices otherwise sometimes you would be limited to a choice of 5.30/9 pm because that would be all that’s left. Quantity: the portions are quite small in the fancy restaurants but soo tasty so just make sure to order lots of sides if you’re a big eater, there are no limitations, we ordered a side of mash one meal the waiter said no problem and then we realised they didn’t even have it he said no problem and he had gone to another restaurant to get Some, the staff are great! Drinks: the bar staff are fab! They will make you anything you want so don’t be afraid to ask and go off menu. Big shout out to Miguel at the pool bar and angel from the gourmet pub they made us soo many great cocktails. Rooms: if you have a problem with your room get it sorted straight away with your personal concierge they will do everything they can to sort your problems but only if you tell them and are persistent. We had a problem with our door it wouldn’t open, they sorted it out a few times with a quick fix and eventually we got frustrated and said somethings not right went to the concierge and it got sorted straight away do everything through them. Getting around: The resort can be a little confusing for the first couple of days, there are 3 parts to it, the tui SENSIMAR suites section the eldorado section and the eldorado lobby, you can get a golf buggy to each section but you don’t need to it’s about a 10 min walk and it’s easy enough to walk around the resort in the day as the resort is full of palm trees which is great for shade. Also it doesn’t matter which bit your staying in you can use any bit. Sun beds: you will always get a sun bed but if you want a specific spot everyone does seem to get there very early so they do go quickly. We weren’t keen on getting up early every day so easy enough there were lots of sun beds always available on the beach and it took a couple of mins just to move them over to the main pool. Towels also aren’t always available first thing in the morning so we kept ours from the day so we could pop a towel out in the morning before the fresh ones came out. Seaweed on the beach: lots of people have written about seaweed in the reviews this is not a problem at all and they have like 15 members of staff in the sea every day on boats picking all the seaweed out and I didn’t notice any when I was in the sea and it would bother me as I don’t normaly like the sea but here it was so clear I had to go in. I think that’s everything I can think of to help make the most of your holiday and I’m very jealous of anyone who is going anytime soon!

    Almost Perfecto!

Lovely resort, although a bit on the quiet side. Very easy to get around, no need really for the golf cart unless of course there is a mobility issue. Our room (3616) was ok, although could do with an update. Kept the AC on 24/dry and it was fine. Housekeeping was a bit iffy the first few days. One morning as we went out we saw a pile of animal poop outside our door. This was still there when we came back late afternoon. In the end my husband cleared it. Reported this to reception and the standard improved straight away. Oh, the swim up rooms underneath; can get very rowdy in the afternoon due to the swim up bar. So if you like an afternoon siesta, don't expect it to be peaceful! The beach. Well it doesn't have the wow factor that's for sure. We spent most of our days on a Bali bed to the right of the swings. Never had a problem getting one of them, even on the days we went late. Alejandro and Alicia from the beach bar were both lovely and friendly. There was just one day when there was a lot of seaweed. The very hard working men had this all cleared by lunchtime the following day. Food. Plenty of choice. I don't get why there are complaints about having to book. We only ate in the buffet (Arrecifes) once. Wasn't overly keen and felt it lacked atmosphere. Most days we had lunch in the Sandwicherie. Good choice of fresh cooked food. I especially liked the Mexican burger. The stand out restaurant by a long way is Klay Talay. Lovely setting and the food is amazing! Gourmet Pub is quite good, but the portion sizes are huge! What makes this resort special is the people who work here. All of the staff are friendly and happy. Always a Hola! And if you can speak a bit, or a lot of Spanish this is always well received. We preferred the quiet bar in the evenings. Augustine is a great barman. If you want a branded drink be sure to ask for it by name, otherwise you will be given the local brew. The brilliant entertainment team. David, Gabo, Adrian, Gabi, Ana, Eddy. Lots of things to do during the day if you want to take part. My husband loved playing table tennis again, especially when he beat David! ?? We met some lovely people and overall we enjoyed our holiday. Incidentally, the first holiday that I didnt have an upset belly!

We first visited this resort two years ago and were worried that it couldn't possibly live up to our earlier experience. We did not need to worry, it was just as perfect as we remembered and cannot wait to visit again!
