When the lucky recipient books their flight at the full fare, they can choose a travel companion to fly with them at the reduced companion voucher cost. All you have to do is sign into your account and make the booking on their behalf. The same rules apply – one person must purchase one WestJet-marketed and operated flight anywhere WestJet flies and the friend on the same itinerary will pay either $119 CAD, $199 CAD of $399 CAD (plus taxes, fees and other ATC charges) based on the type of companion voucher being redeemed. For Milestone companion voucher holders, the second guest base fare is free.

*The Companion Voucher Sharing offer “The Promotion” is valid for redemption by the companion voucher owner, for travel of two other guests on a new companion voucher reservation. The owner of the companion voucher isn’t required to travel on the companion voucher booking(s) made during this limited time promotional period, November 5-19, 2020. If a member has multiple eligible companion vouchers, they may redeem and share one or more during the promotion period.
A companion voucher is valid for one round-trip on a WestJet flight. Destination availability is dependent on voucher type. WestJet World Elite companion vouchers and WestJet-wide companion vouchers are valid anywhere we fly for travel anywhere WestJet flies in North America, Central America, the Caribbean or Europe. The Annual round-trip companion voucher includes travel in Canada and to/from the continental U.S.
To use the companion voucher, the first guest must purchase one WestJet-marketed and operated flight in Economy or Premium and the second guest on the same itinerary will only pay the companion voucher fee (if applicable), taxes, fees and charges.
Valid for new bookings only. Not valid on existing reservations, reservations made through a travel agent or a third-party online booking tool.
Changes or cancellations to companion voucher bookings are allowed, except when a Basic fare has been purchased, which is a 100% non-refundable fare with no change options allowed. Guests are required to pay all applicable fees based on the fare type purchased for each ticket, plus the difference in fare on the regular ticket, if applicable. Changes must be made prior to the expiry date of the voucher used for the booking.
Voucher is valid for one-time use only. If booking is eligible for cancellation based on fare option purchased, voucher will be reinstated to the original companion voucher owner’s account; original expiry date of voucher applies. If one-way travel is booked, voucher will be deemed fully used and the return portion of travel is forfeited. If booking is made in the Basic fare option, it is not eligible for cancellation (except within 24 hours of initial booking) and voucher will be forfeited.
