Disaster Relief

During a crisis, the distribution of humanitarian aid and transportation of relief workers and emergency services through air travel and cargo capacity is essential. Understanding that air transportation is incredibly complex in the face of disaster, WestJet teams diligently work at times with multiple partner organizations to respond swiftly and effectively in times of crisis.

How we support

WestJet and GlobalMedic formally partnered together in 2023; however, were in collaboration for many years prior. The partnership focuses on quick response during times of disaster or humanitarian crisis to transport emergency relief team members into communities most in need, support the delivery of critical aid supplies through WestJet Cargo, and engage WestJet Group employees in volunteering efforts to pack food and emergency aid kits for those impacted.
