Spent 6 nights here for a family vacation and loved every second. Not cheap by any means, but well worth it if you are going to take advantage of all the resort has to offer. Updated rooms, plenty of pool space (family, adult only and 'adventure' water-park style) with pretty good availability of chairs at each (adventure pool was most crowded). Amazing selection of water-sports right off the beach. 4-day Beach Pass for $99 is great value. Easy walk to Shops of Wailea (where you can find Island Gourmet Market with a great selection of take-away food at a fraction of the price of hotel food) and Wailea Town Centre with more restaurant options. We will definitely go back.

On the whole, the resort is beautiful. Nice rooms, great Luau experience, good food and entertainment. My only disappointment was their process for checking in a group of 30 persons. We arrived after 6pm, so I really just figured that our rooms were ready and waiting for us. NOT! Maybe half the rooms were ready and some were almost ready, within the 1hr, which turned into 2 hrs. So needless, my people were tired, pissed and upset at me, their Travel Advisor. In the end, everyone got into their room and settled down. The other comment was the lack of communication between the planning staff and the front desk staff who had no knowledge of the arrangements I had on contract. I must commend the hotel manager for his effort to accommodate my clients with credits and amenities to mend the errors of the communication mishap. But everyone had a great time otherwise. Good location with a shopping mall in walking distance plus close to bus transit service for riding into town.

Our daughter let us tag along on a business trip with her at this hotel. We loved it! Nice rooms with wonderful views! A wonderful restaurant on site. Perfect pool for kids as well as quiet pools for adults. Wonderful Luau on site. The grounds are just beautiful!! To top it off, there is a great shopping within walking distance with great shops (Including designer) as well as a few delicious restaurants! We didn’t get to golf, but the nearby golf courses were beautiful!

We only stayed here one night so not enough to get a full flavor for the resort and all it had to offer. However, was very happy with the ocean views, wandering around the resort, food options and customer service. It's also in walking distance to a mall. It's a little thing but the shampoo/conditioner/lotion was great at this hotel. It was a coco-mango scent. I like to travel light so I always use the hotel provided ones when I travel. We stayed at two other hotels on this trip, including the Ritz, and the Wailea Beach Resort had the best by far. On the bad side, there is daily resort fee of $30, really $31.25 since they tax you on the fee. Unfortunately, we didn't really get to take advantage of the resort since we got in late and were moving along to another part of the island first thing the next morning so it felt punitive. We also rented a car so we had an addition $26.04 ($25+tax) fee for parking. It seemed like there were some good offerings included in the resort fee if you were going to be there for the day, I believe there was an included bike rental, etc. but not worth it if you aren't staying on property to take advantage of them.

This was our first time to a U.S. based resort and we were not disappointed. We were welcomed to the lobby with a welcome drink and live music from someone playing the guitar. The suite was very spacious and had a full living room and two bathrooms - very clean and neat. We were also welcomed on our anniversary with fresh fruits and a bottle of wine. The infinity pool here had great views of the ocean and sunset, which perfectly compliments the maitai’s we had. We liked how the pool had beanbags that we could sit on to enjoy the pool view. If you don’t want to get wet, they had these lovely chairs that you could sit in to enjoy the sunset. We decided to get in touch with our youthful sides and ride the slides at the other pool - don’t blink because the slide goes super fast and your head dunks into the water before you know it. The food and drinks at the hotel restaurant/bar were decent - make sure you make a visit during happy hour to grab their specials. Lots to do at this resort and not enough time. Thanks for a great time in Wailea and hope to be back soon!!
