Very nice facility. On our first day there staff gave us some options on what to see and experience in the area. Many beautiful nature sites are a short drive from the Sheraton. One of the restaurants has a beautiful ocean view. Pools are nice and beach access is right there. Our room was nice and maid service did a good job every day. Wunnderbare Erfahrung!!

My wife and I spend the second half of our week in Kauai at the SKR. We stayed in Princeville in the north first and then staying in the south allowed us to explore a different area. The proximity to the Waimea canyon was great. We also enjoyed The Shops at Kukui’ula that had a number of good eateries and shops. The room was clean and fairly new in condition. A feature is that there are a few fire pits with chairs around them. They also have a few chairs to watch some great sunsets along the water. I do think that the pool area is a little small and can get loud. I would recommend the SKR.

From the second we valeted our car, we were in paradise! The staff were so friendly and the resort is just gorgeous! The staff checked on us regularly, dropped off chocolates, turn down service every night, and the room was spotless! The food and amenities were outstanding! The beach is amazing. A monk seal swam up to sun on the beach right in front of us!! Coolest experience! Get a room with an oven view if you can! We will definitely go back! Worth every penny!!! P.s. you have to do the luau...it is beautiful, sharing so much history of the islands and the food was yummy!
Will always go back

I visited the resort Sept 2019 and just visited the property again the end of Feb 2020. I absolutely love this property. Each time they have placed me in a room with a view of the ocean. This last time, I don't know how a standard room could get any better. We were on the fourth floor next to the elevator, close to self parking, overhead view of their luau and the perfect picture of the resort, pool, and ocean. Such a relaxing spot. Its a smaller hotel and not as grand as the Grand Hyatt up the street. But I prefer this property. Rum Fire has a great Happy Hour and Benjie the Bartender is Great. Actually all the bartenders are great. The sunset is fabulous from this property as well. What more could you ask?
Relaxing Stay

Location is great, next to a lot of good dining options, beaches, sights such as Spouting Horn and Botanical Gardens. They've upgraded the villa (we're owners) section of the hotel and room had modern furnishings despite being rather small. All ownership rooms have garden view but didn't matter to us. Ear;y at the pool secures you a good spot but we always found a couple of beach chairs even later in the day. Tip: Get up at 7 a.m. and walk along the beachfront to Brennecke's beach to see sea turtles and monk seals sunbathing. Good lunch options but quite pricey as with most hotels. They have a happy hour in the afternoon though. Agreed with other reviewers that they don't value status here simply because they have nothing to offer such a lounge / free breakfast etc. We got free valet parking... Beach is beautiful and great for snorkeling.
