Amazing resort that has the best service of any resort anywhere in North America. The room was beautifully appointed and facilities were great. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will go back again!

My husband and I decided to go to Cabo San Lucas for our wedding anniversary and we made the right choice with The Cape. It was immaculate and the service went above and beyond. The view of the arch from our room every sunrise and sunset added to the romantic atmosphere. We were lucky to have Abraham S. at the Ledge suggest things to do in the area and to make the best lunch recommendations. We will definitely be returning and have told our friends and family that they can't go wrong with this hotel.

A very nice place to stay. Great location, rooms, service and amenities. It nis a very nice place to stay and may be reflective of the Cabo area, but its priced pretty high for rooms, food and beverages. A reallu good travel experiience if you can afford the expense..

Ok, so I'm my last review I said we never stay anywhere other than the Cape when we come to Cabo. In a last minute trip booking we did actually book a different hotel.....what a mistake as we checked out 24 hours later and rebooked at the Cape. There really is no place like here. It really was like coming back home and seeing all the familiar faces who always took off dress so well. By the pool, Bull who has been taking incredible care of us for the last 5 years who is always impeccable with his calm professionalism. Lenny is always great with his jolly smile and friendly but respectful service. And this visit, Hugo has been doing an incredible job looking after us, making sure our champagne is already chilled before we come down to the pool in the morning and running around filling our glasses up as we sit wherever in the pool, just so special and incredible thank you to everyone who takes such great care of us everyday. Greg, restaurant manager, thank you for always looking to see how you can make our stay here more special every time we come back and thank you for arranging a cooking class with the hotel chef for my wife she is so excited. Eduardo you really know how to run a hotel and I can only imagine what this place will be like as it continues under this perfect leadership.

    Beautiful... but not the bill

So I'm not a cheap person by any means. I am used to premium experiences and the premium charge that goes with it. I don't mind paying, however I don't like to be taken advantage of. Part of what makes a premium experience is the trust that goes with a prestige brand. I thought the Thompson Hotel was one of those brands - after many years loving in NYC it was a regular haunt for me - and I assume this is the brand that Hyatt wanted to leverage and nurture. However, unfortunately, in Cabo San Lucas this wasn't my experience. Instead the experience was one of poor financial communication, hidden fees and a general sense that they will take as much money as they can. I'm just checking out and have found many hidden hotel charges that were not communicated: 10% on cash advances (not mentioned), an insanely expensive airport transfer of $140 had un-communicated taxes added on (NB: an uber in a similar car costs just $30), the breakfast waiters told me was free was not, workers expect a tip yet 15% service charge is added on everything, when being switched to the wedding package (not cheaper than paying normally) - my card was charged a large amount without my consent... the list goes on. The general service and accommodation is strong, but i leave with a bad taste in my mouth.
