I had not stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort since 1999, and this time around I completely fell in love with the place! It is a paradise with beautiful and lush tropical plants and trees. Yes, it is very spread out so do yourself a favor and study up on the locations of the different "islands," and request what you want. We had a pool/water view room and had requested Jamaica, which we got. Our room was a short walk to the Skyliner station and the bus stop, but let me tell you, once you use the Skyliner, you will hate using the bus system! The Skyliner was never more than a minute wait and very often, we had a gondola to ourselves. When we were with other friendly people, it was fun to chat with them. The ride is quiet and fast, and before you know it, you are at The Studios or Epcot's back door (where there is zero wait for security and scanning in). The room was quiet (the noisiest moments were the fireworks from Epcot and The Studios), and the beds were super comfortable as were the pillows (all four!), and even though the showers have not been updated, they were adequate with a strong spray. We purchased mugs (I got the larger, new, Skyliner stainless steel mug which I love), and found a refill machine in the next building over (43) which was a very short walk from our room. I believe they have these in other buildings as well, not just in Old Port Royale. There is a white sand beach with hammocks and lounge chairs right outside our Building 42 door where we hung out during our mid-day breaks. My one complaint would be the one meal we purchased from the quick service - our pulled pork sandwich had maybe two tablespoons of meat and was all bread! Port Orleans Riverside has been my favorite resort until now - the addition of the Skyliner to this beautiful Caribbean Resort has bumped it down to number two.

This was my first time to a Disney property so I had certain ideas of what to expect. This was well below them. I travel about once/month and have been all over the world. Here are the pro/con in my opinion: Pros: Transportation to/from the airport and other resorts/attractions and parks for “free”. This seemed to be more adult themed and I did not see a lot of children. There is a new skyliner here which can transport you to many attractions in 5-10 minutes. If you don’t want the daily housekeeping they will give you a $30 credit. Cons: There is no workout/fitness center here or anywhere close for that matter. The rooms are dated, show their wear and are very sparsely furnished. There are Coke Freestyle machines and for $20 you can buy an unlimited refill cup. The downside is there are very few stations and you have to walk a long way to fill up your very tiny cup. The food is terrible. Bottom line, you pay a lot of money to be at Disney property but you’re not getting a lot for that money.

Family visit, 4 adults, 2 children in 2 refurbished preferred rooms in Martinique. Wonderful 4 night stay. Enjoyed the main pool, the skyliner and especially Mermaid Academy. Small glitch with house keeping was nicely resolved by Keith in Operations even after a contact to management 1 day after checkout. Food court met our needs. Customer service was excellent everywhere on the property. Very happy with condition of room. We will return!

Cant beat Disney property but very big resort

Myself and family stayed here in 2 ajoining rooms. It was our first time on Disney property and now i dont think i can stay off property! When we arrived and checked in the check ind esk was very helpful and loaded us into a mini van with all our luggage to take us to our rooms, the bell boy was amazing he took 7 suitcases on a trolley up the stairs in 1 go! The rooms were nice and spacious and had everything you would need (aircon, hairdryer, tv, fridge, safe etc) One thing we do wish we had done was pay for a preferred room close to the main hub, we were in Jamacia and it took us around 10 minutes to walk to get food/drink which was fustrating sometimes in the evening when we wanted to refill our mugs. But Jamacia is a good location for the bus's its one of the first to pick up and drop off so we nearly always got a seat, out room was right next to the bus stop so when we saw a bus coming we would just run over there The pool was lovely after a long day at the parks, we ate there quite a few times and there was always lots of options, i dont think we had a bad meal. We also ate dinner on the patio infront of the movie one night which was nice. I cant really fault the hotel but we want to explore other disney hotels so we have booked to stay at French quarter for our next trip

Anytime at Disney is great, but July was Hot. Caribbean beach was very nice. we have stayed at most place at Disney and this ranks 2nd for our family. Staff were great, kind, and very helpful. The movie night was good for Kids out on the island. You can also see the fireworks every night from here. This is worth the small upgrade in places to stay.
