I have stayed in every universal resort. We come once a year since my husband works for Comcast. This by far was the worst experience. Pros/ beds and room was comfy. Cons- front desk staff doesn’t like their job or who they work for. Only two positive girls were the two in training (small blonde and a sweet African American girl). Amanda was VERY rude and didn’t want to try to help. They authorized our rooms on each other’s cards and when we realized it she just switched and reauthorized the amounts thus leaving a $1400 pending amount held on our cards. We are traveling and not sure what we will do since all we spent was $300 but have $1100 left on our card we can’t use. When we arrived there wasn’t anyone to great us out front as there is with their other properties. When asking the staff where to eat at city walk they told us Disney sprints. Savana in the pantry was amazing. She is the friendliest staff member and should be promoted to manager. She ran around helping everyone and there were a lot of people complaining. If Universal wishes to compete with Disney they MUST have all their hotels be a friendly place.

    Savana’s top notch customer service!

It’s my last day staying here after a two night stay and I just wanted to give some feedback on what an excellent hotel this is. The theming is a little boring but everything had a nice relaxing feel especially the room! Beds were nice and the shower felt great but what makes this hotel excellent was the customer service I received down in the urban pantry food area. A very helpful and friendly woman named Savana made my dining experience extra enjoyable with all her recommendations and with her quick to help attitude as well as her energetic happy to see you personality just put a smile on my face and made me have an extra pleasant dining experience!

We stayed at the Aventura from 12/11 through 12/15. The rooms were great and the amenities were updated. The one thing that stood out the most to us was the great customer service we received from the cafe staff downstairs. Mainly from Mikey and Savana. They were very personable in explaining the food choices and being flexible with us. We spoke to them on multiple occasions and each time was a great experience. Also, the food itself was very nice. I would definitely recommend coming back.

    Universal Resort - Nothing Special

We stayed at the Aventura for two nights in December and maybe our expectations were too high for this Universal Resort as it was nothing special - especially for the price. The rooms are very small and very high tech, which is cool, but ergonomically not very friendly. The closet has no light near it making it impossible to see anything you put inside, as well as many of the lights have no on or off switches. They’re all on the iPad. Cool yes, but inconvenient. The hotel is very modern and new, which is nice, but the overall feeling is cool, lacking a warm and cozy atmosphere. And an FYI for any coffee lovers: A cup of black coffee at the downstairs Starbucks and the in house restaurant costs FIVE BUCKS. Black. Coffee. ?? The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was a very leaky iron that soaked a shirt. We requested a new one and when staff said it would be 30 minutes, we requested that if possible, might it come quicker as we were leaving to meet friends about that time, they said it was not possible. We waited - the iron never came. And I was grateful for my jacket. ;) Overall this hotel is fine. Nothing special for a Universal Resort. We would not stay again.

The hotel is very clean and I was relaxed the entire time. The food in the hotel was exceptional and not too pricey. It was nice to come back from a full day at Universal and have a relaxing meal in my hotel.
