Love this hotel. Perfect location, around a lot of shops, Starbucks down the road and was in center of book convention. The library was my favorite thing about the hotel. So beautiful and cozy. My husband loved the free beer at arrival. Front desk were always smiling. Doormen were amazing and super friendly. I felt super special for my birthday!

This was my second time to Portland, and second stay at the Heathman. It is a beautiful hotel located in the downtown cultural district. It is an easy walk to many parks, museums, restaurants and shopping. The rooms at the hotel are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The Jonathan Adler toiletries were a nice addition. When I arrived, the nattily dressed doorman welcomed me, and check in was a breeze. The staff are friendly, and have great tips on places to visit. I was offered a beverage on arrival which is a welcome treat. The hotel restaurant has delicious breakfast. One morning I had a crab and gruyere omelet, the next day blueberry pancakes. There is also a gourmet chocolate shop on the property. Have some hot chocolate after a nice wintery walk. Last year when I stayed in December, there was a Russian tea service available which makes Christmas time special. Also for a small fee you can have a mini live Christmas tree in your room.????

We frequently come to Portland from Sou OR to visit family and friends. We had our "go to" hotel for years and had a number of incidents compelling us to find a new home away from home. The Heathman is the new "go to" and offers comfort, location, dining, and service that is world class.

From the valet to front desk to the room was all a great experience right in the heart of downtown Portland. Our family was made to feel very welcome. When we entered then room there was a lovely hand written note. Those touches are a lost art. Will be visiting again.

Small, historic hotel located right in the heart of downtown Portland, short walk to most downtown PDX attractions. Walked to Powells Books, Blue Star Donuts, Heart Coffee, food pods, to name a few. The room was clean and comfortable. Quiet at night when I went to sleep. Very nice king bed and linens. Friendly staff.
