    Wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Eliphe and Jamie for giving us THE BEST Unlimited All Inclusive feel.. They served us on the beach in Punta Cana with a smile and hooked us up with our Margaritas. Thank you for making us feel so welcomed in your beautiful country and resort! Much love and will definitely be back.

    NOW ONYX... Absolute Paradise

    This was our 4th time in Punta Cana and this resort does not disappoint. We always try to stay with AM Resorts but this was the first time at Now Onyx. The Junior Suite with private pool was an awesome room and close to everything. In fact we have agreed it’s the best room we’ve ever stayed in when factoring in not just amenities and view but proximity to what is important. However, what made the trip so wonderful (yet again) were the fantastic staff. Javier worked the preferred club pool and beach most days and we had a great time getting to know him. He never let our glasses run dry and we a lot of great laughs. He even made it a point to swing by on a day he was assigned elsewhere just to let us know. It was truly a pleasure to get to know him. By 6pm Javier was off and Miriam (the preferred club bartender) took over. From the very first night we hit it off. She is a talented bartender and someone with great energy. She kept us smiling all week long and for that we are grateful. With the Junior Suite private pool room you have a butler assigned to you. Felix received us within a few minutes of being at the resort and was available to us all week long for any needs that we had. He escorted us to dinner at night and always made sure that we were being taken care of. We had his WhatsAPP contact information and despite how busy he is, he always responded right away. Yet another talented hard working person within the AM Resorts family. The only disappointing thing we experienced from this trip was the lack of travelers. If we had to guess we would say the resort was only at about 15-20% capacity. And while there are some benefits such as having your choice of seats at the pool or beach, not waiting for dinner, and fast service the truth is a full resort provides for a certain atmosphere you become used to. Our hope is that this review encourages more people to schedule a vacation sometime soon. The staff was very “Covid compliant”, the menus were digital (no touch), hand sanitizer was available everywhere and required at restaurants ....we felt completely comfortable. If you are thinking about visiting Punta Cana you won’t be disappointed with Now Onyx.

    My hubby and I are regularly cruisers. With the cruise industry shut down, we tried an all inclusive. It's tough to give a fair review in this time, as the resort was only around 10% capacity. So I am reviewing more leniently with this in mind. Rooms: The rooms were very clean and huge, when comparing to what we were used to on a cruise ship. The staff worked to know what beverages we liked and kept our fridge stocked. The balcony had its own jetted tub, which was great to soak in. Location: the resort itself was about a half hour or so from the airport. We booked transportation thru Viator and they doubled our bill the day before traveling. Going home we used AMResorts and paid half the price. Our room was also in a good location. We stayed in 5316, which was on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool. It felt very private and made for a nice view. Was centrally located to all things on the resort. Price: We originally booked thru FunJet, but when American Airlines changed their flights, we cancelled and booked on our own. We saved $1,000 doing so. COVID prep: They do a fantastic job during this time. All staff had masks at all times, and hand sanitizer. Masks for guests were preferred, but not mandated. All the rest: Because there were so few people, they obviously couldn't run everything at all times. It felt like they had 5 staff at least for each guest, but that may not be true. It was crazy having the whole place to ourselves. It felt that way most of the time. We never had an issue getting seats anywhere - from the pool to the beach or dinner. The staff overall are exceptional with hospitality. My favorites were Eugenia in the ice cream/hamburger shops, Jorge in the lobby bar, Kevin Hart in entertainment, Juan and Mateo in the restaurants, and our guy who filled our beverages in our room (but for some reason I never got his name). The entertainment was okay. I say okay because again, I'm used to the cruise ship where I can be entertained at any hour of the day. They put on a great show each night at 930p but that was the only real thing happening, aside from beach volleyball or yoga, etc. Everything else is outside so once you hit a point of too much sun, there's not much to do for fun without further exposing yourself to the elements. The food was amazing. On a cruise ship it's quantity, but at the resort it's quality. They definitely have great meals at all of the restaurants. My fav was the Tamarindo - a Spanish restaurant. I think if anyone were to complain about the food, they likely ate all meals at five star restaurants at home. These meals were close to 5 star. Shopping - the resort prices overall we're good, except for sunblock ($30/bottle. Heck no!) We did an excursion and bought sunscreen from a street vendor for $10. We also did the free shopping trip from AMResorts. It was okay, but we only bought coffee. Outside of the resort on the street side between Now Onyx and Breathless is a strip of shops, all of which you can barder with. If you go, visit "Chocolate" at Shop #1 and tell him Linda sent you. ?? He will barder well. Water sports: they offer a lot to do in the water, but the waves were too great for any of it the week we were there. When reciprocating to Breathless, bring a towel from Now Onyx. They won't let you use theirs (so odd). Breathless is adults only and def more of a party crowd. We wanted to get in at the spa but the appts were few and far between. Great trip for certain. If the cruising industry opens again we will continue vacationing that way but wouldn't rule this out as a back up option. Breathless

    What can I say about our experience at NOW ONYX?!?!?! The only words I can say are, ABSOULETY AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were a party of 10 which consisted of 6 adults and 4 kids (8, 12, 13, 15). We are pretty tight group that LOVE TO HAVE A GOOD TIME. First let me start with RUDDY the bell boy. He was the first face we saw when we stepped out of the transfer van to the resort. Our party of 10 hit it off with this young man right away. What a charismatic young man with a great personality a a wonderful work ethic. He was always there to help us out and give us rides. Great young man to talk to as well. With his personality and work ethic I think he would be a great Butler for the resort. Next is FELIX our Butler. He is the man!!!! We were a party of 10 and was responsible for us and who knows how many other families. Every time we texted him he came right away. He treated us like we were the only three families on the resort. He made reservations for dinner, he took care of a 40th Birthday celebration one night and a 42nd Birthday celebration the next night. What impressed me the most about this young man was that when he told you he would do something he did it and did it well. Next is KEVIN HART! He is one of the main guys on the E-Team which is the entertainment team for the resort. He is hilarious and super great guy with so much ambition and drive. He was great with adults and amazing with our kids. He always made a point to check in with us in the morning and throughout the day. We loved getting to the nightly show a little early to just hang out with KEVIN and talk, joke around and just laugh. Then their was the wait staff. Everyone at the resort was amazing and friendly but a few really stood out to us as a whole group and we were able to really connect and bond with them throughout the week. Let's start with JORGE in the Main Lobby Bar. Jorge was attentive to all of our needs and just loved to make people great drinks and make people feel welcomed. His partner MARIA was the same way and both always would have huge smiles on their faces when they saw our group walk in. IVAN at the Main Pool Bar was there everyday and by day 2 knew what we all were drinking. Our rooms were right next to the Pool Bar and every morning he would check in with us on drinks or food. JAVIER at the Preferred Pool Bar was the same and always made it a point to check in with us to make sure we were having a great time. Then there was ESTABAN, JUAN and JOSE who are all wait staff at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our party of 10 really connected with these three men and it was really sad and hard to say goodbye Saturday morning at breakfast. These three just made are meals even better. Wonderful individuals and great workers. We then sent our kids a few times to the Kids Zone and Teen Zone. LEIDY was there to help and assist. She is caring and thoughtful and really loves kids. She was so nice to our kids and just wanted their experience to be great too. The resort is wonderful, the pools are great, and the food was fantastic. It is great as well that guests can go back and forth to Breathless whenever they want. All in all this has been a great experience and we are planning to go back. Not just because of the resort but for the employees we met.

    Now Onxy was beautiful! I came with a group of friends for my best friends 30th and they were so good to us! We stayed in the preferred section of the resort and were treated like queens. Javier was our waiter at the pool the entire stay (7days) and he was the most attentive person! He was the best!! He would constantly ask if we wanted any drinks. Felix was our butler and was always there when we needed him! As far as food, the breakfast wasn’t the best there, but lunch and dinner were amazing! Every dinner was deliciousness filled with flavor. The ETEAM (Mary and Kevin Hart and all of the others) were definitely entertainment...thank you for the laughs guys! Rosa, was our waiter for our last lunch and she made sure it was the best lunch we had (it definitely was). The resort is at 10-15% capacity during COVID, so it was empty...literally. This made us feel safe! Before entering every restaurant they would give you hand sanitizer and take your temperature. Everything was always so clean. Overall it was a blast and I will definitely be back with my friends. Now Onxy you rock! Thanks for a memorable one.
