I was a little nervous after reading so many negative reviews, but in all honestly expectations need to be kept in check. If you are used to luxury or all inclusive experiences, you might be disappointed. But if you are looking for an affordable trip to a cute place right on the beach with some great pools- you found your place. Due to COVID and it being “off season”, we were lucky enough to have a very empty resort with very few others at the pools or beach during the same time. It was perfect! We did have a few maintenance issues, but the staff addressed them in a timely fashion. And the maintenance gentleman was incredibly friendly. House keeping was not offered during our short stay, but that’s been the norm at any place I have stayed at during the COVID pandemic. We were disappointed to find out that Henry’s Beach Bar kitchen was not open due to low capacity and they instead severed the Run Runner’s menu. So food selection wasn’t huge. But that wasnt a make or break. One thing we did learn is that if you want a prime beach view without anybody in front of you, you’ll have to pay an extra $20 a day to rent an umbrella. Complementary beach loungers are all in the second row. All in all, it was a great trip. The resort went out of their way to address any issues that we had. Would definitely go back and enjoy the beautiful beaches and pool again.

Had booked this hotel based on reviews and am I sorry I did... should have looked at recent reviews.... I booked thru Groupon and upgraded to a king suite for birthday anniversary celebration... when I called to upgrade I believe her name was Sharene she was so helpful and pleasant on the phone she had assigned a room on the 6th floor with a beautiful view ... . I had requested an early check in... upon arriving at 3:55 was advised that room was not available so they were going to give us the room on seventh floor...I said how bad could it be....that’s when the check in nightmare began.... room stunk of bleach ceiling had mold growing in several areas.... the air condition was not working.... I called front desk and they asked if we wanted to change rooms... a very nice maintenance man came up to our room and advised us that he told them not to give us that room.... they were going to give us room on 5th floor but he was kind enough to go check it out and upon returning he said it was worst then the one we were in.... we end up getting the original room we were suppose to get... View was excellent bed was comfortable but as for the rest needs a serious paint job and mold removal in all rooms... this room had very little mold but it was still there.... oh another thing that totally annoyed me was a gentlemen had upgraded his room at time of check in and then gave him a 50% off discount.... each night Front desk not very friendly and either is staff at the rumrunner for breakfast.... Breakfast there was horrible but in compasss grille was better and staff was so friendly... Do you research before booking.... spoke to a lot of people at resort and they all complained about same issues.... one couple had a humidifier in there room and had to keep emptying.... They really should keep up with the inside of hotel like they maintain the outside grounds.

You can bring your pet. It Thats what sold it for me. I went for two days with my son and dog. Loved every single minute of it. Definitely will be returning. So worth the money. Water was rought due to hurricane sally . But overall great beach and relaxing atmosphere.

Booked a weekend to celebrate my daughters 16th birthday and surprise her with her two best friends. There was a problem with check in which messed up the surprise but Paul the manager and Adonis the rec. director made it up to us. We had a wonderful weekend! The resort was very accommodating! The rooms have great insulation so you don’t hear your neighbors. There is a lot to do and I felt safe letting my teens walk around the property alone. Hope to come back again next summer.

This place is nice but it is old. They do the best they can with the decor and outside lounge chairs but do not expect a new resort. Staff was pleasant and the beach was great. Very relaxing feel here.
