Affordable and amazing

Great selection of restaurants, bars, snack bars ect. Customer service was great in all places of the resort, felt very welcomed. Nightly shows were amazing with a great variety from beach party's to dance shows to aquatic shows even. The pool was amazing and the beach was even better, we went to different beaches from different resorts and none compared to the one at sol palmeras, not to mention unlike most beaches it is not shared with any other resorts. If your worried about entertainment or getting bored don't be they have plenty of things to pas the time, tennis courts, a basketball court, a beach volleyball court and a beach soccer field, on top of their nightly shows they have entertainment pretty consistently throughout the day whether it's at the beach pool or on their indoor stage. I had a great time and I can guarantee that there won't be a better experience for the price.

I have been coming here once or twice a year since 2016. The staff is amazing. Especially Noel and Dayana! Everyone is accommodating and tries to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Never went a night without wine. The food is pretty good especially the spring rolls and the hamburger sol palmeras at the little way off snack bar. Everything is clean. It is a compact resort, so you run into the same people and it is safe and secure for a woman traveling solo. Can’t wait to return!

The staff were super friendly like a big family . They certainly tried to help you have a good time . The down side is the Hotel and facitlies are run down. They have super extras for the kids basket ball nets in the pool and outside. Tennis courts. Pool games as well as beach games.they put on yoga classes and dance classes. Staff wise and entertainment I can not fault. It's just the Facilities are tired.
Great family vacation

This was a great resort. We knew that Cuban resorts have some shortages and issues at time and were comfortable with. What we didn’t expect was home much this resort surpassed our expectations. We booked direct via Sunwing and didn’t have any issues from start to finish. The hotel is in really good condition and quite beautiful. They are renovating some rooms in the hotel where we stayed in a family suite. The room was spacious and clean. Balcony was large and although we faced the hotel next to us we could see the ocean. The only issue with the room was the outlets couldn’t connect but with an iron and table to keep pressure on the plug we got them to work. The pull out couch left something to be desired but the bed was comfortable. Pool area was amazing. Can say enough about that. Pool bar was good with lots of variety for drinks. There is an outside lunch bbq that mostly had ribs and rice which were really tasty. There is a snack bar with sausages or hamburgers that were tasty as well. Ice cream hut and juice hut available as well. Pool area was clean and always ample places to sit in the sun or shade. Twice a day there was activities by the staff, dance, water fitness or yoga. Can’t say enough about the beach. It was amazing. Very clean and almost private with the two resorts on either side. Unlike last year there wasn’t anyone walking the beach trying to see or ask for things. Water amazing and even had a chance to feed some Angelfish some bread. Always plenty of spots to sit and always a beach volleyball game going on. Nothing beats a beach in Cuba. We didn’t try any of the a la carte restaurants and didn’t need to. The buffet was great. Apart from no eggs the last three days there were no shortages. Salads, pizza, pasta, fish chicken and beef (beef is tough). Lots of veggies and different meats rices and veggies in the buffet all tasty. No issue with any of the food. They will always have some shortages but that didn’t impact this resort very much. Lots of selection in the bar from rum and beer to icy drinks for both young and old. Entertainment every night by the pool. Hugo and his crew were great and entertaining. There is a market close by (Americanized) but a nice 10 min walk to get to. Lots to do for sure. We will for sure book this resort again. food. A
Best Family Cuban Hotel

We made the mistake of booking next door at the Iberostar and after a visit to Sol Palmeras moved in. Had the luck of meeting Yamile Brito at the reception and she explained how to book it with my phone on the wifi and we were in. Renovated room was new and wifi worked. Buffet food was great and plentiful as good as DR surprisingly. Got to the International and Latin restaurants both were very good and you can do the restaurants every nite of your stay. They always had carbonated pop for my son, lots of basketball, table tennis, volleyball, waterpolo to keep us busy with great input from all the entertainment folks, shows were good including an impressive inpool night dance show, live music and Beatriz's upstairs nightly mojito bar, will definetely come back, great value
