“We sincerely thank our guests for sharing their feedback on our new cabin configurations. We have listened carefully and are restoring these cabin interiors to reflect the travel experience our guests know and expect from us. As we continue to balance comfort with the affordability Canadians value, we appreciate our guests’ patience as we work to reconfigure our aircraft as quickly as possible.”
- Sam Taylor, WestJet Group, Chief Experience Officer
As our teams work diligently to complete the reconfiguration of these aircraft as soon as possible, we will continue to operate some Economy only aircraft, to sustain our growing network and prioritize providing our guests with increased access to affordable air travel. You’ll still enjoy our Economy service on “Economy seating only” aircraft, but Economy seats on this aircraft have reduced legroom. As the aircraft await reconfiguration, some amenities, including power and Wi-Fi, may not be available. These aircraft are safe, designed for comfort, and will continue to deliver the caring service you expect from WestJet.
When booking on WestJet.com, you will be able to recognize if you are booking a flight on one of these aircraft by looking for the “Economy seats only” indicator. If you booked with a travel agent, corporate travel arranger or online travel agency, please consult them to confirm if your flight will be on an aircraft awaiting reconfiguration.
