Fantastic holiday

Just returned from Planet Hollywood Cancun and had an absolutely fantastic time! Positives: • Food: Great variety with something for everyone. • Drinks: Excellent quality, with premium brands available if you ask. • Beach: Beautiful, clean, and equipped with very comfortable loungers. • Lazy River: Really fun and relaxing. • Staff: Absolutely amazing—friendly, hardworking, and always willing to help. • Rooms: Beds are super comfy and spacious. A HUGE special mention to Antonio (“Notebook”) – he truly made our stay memorable. His energy, positivity, and attention to detail were outstanding. He went above and beyond every single day, and he’s a real credit to the hotel. Negatives: • Pools: Quite cold (though a few rums help!). • Pool Loungers: All taken by around 7:00 a.m. This definitely needs better management. Some guests were reserving beds with just a pair of flip-flops and not returning for hours. Tip: Beach loungers are always available, the service is brilliant, and the sea is warmer than the pools. • Room Smell: Some rooms have a damp towel smell. Our first room in Block 12 was quite bad, but we moved to Block 16 after three days and it was much better. • Cleanliness: Could be improved a little, but nothing major. Despite these minor issues, we had no illness at all and ate and drank everything. I see lots of complaints online about tiny problems—honestly, instead of becoming a keyboard warrior, just tell the hotel. They’ll sort it. If you don’t ask, you don’t get. It’s not the Ritz, but you’re not paying Ritz prices either. Go with an open mind and enjoy it. Would we return? Definitely. That’s unusual for us, but we loved it so much that we’re already booking again for next year!

Planet Hollywood is fantastic, top to bottom. Extra shout out to the three guys at the Flow Rider, Xavier, Joaquin and Exum (?). Great staff all around. Would definitely recommend.
Family trip to Cancun

Mechanical problems in rooms with phone, lights fan. Never fixed. Booked room with 2 beds. They did not have any when we got there even thought we checked in early. No activities at the adult pool as shown on the website. Not enough lounges at the pool. Had to get up a 6 am just to get a chair. Terrible smells like sewer outside certain areas, especially stairs. Food average. Don’t waste your money. Management did not care. So disappointed as they is a Marriott autograph hotel. The transport company they use and get you to buy round trip tickets to airport leaves you stand for an hour before you finally just take a cab for 100.00 and they Nextour keeps money
Horrible, dirty, no customer service. Don’t do it.

I just got here today…already a big huge no. Only 3 bottles of water in my room despite multiple attempts to get more. The water from the faucet stinks…badly. Sports bar has only a few tables, first come first serve, so pointless. Feels overbooked and understaffed. Bathrooms are dirty, nobody seems to care. We got in in the afternoon & literally no place to get food unless you want to wait in an hour long line at coffee bar. For over $1000 day for my underage daughter & I, I expect better. I just want to go back home at this point. Pool is dirty and full of sand. Everything is dirty and old. Not enough chairs anywhere. Horrible…horrible. For the price paid, I expect so much more. I’ve never had a bad experience anywhere in MX….this is a 0 out of 10. Just don’t do it. Oh, and internet service is also horrible. Lit
