Do not come here!!!

The place is not a 4* but 1* will even be too much. The staff was rude and didn’t care about their customers. The front desk manager was terrible. Some exception with 1 or 2 members of the staff which exceeded the expectations. If you are looking for a good holiday with kids, this is definitely not the place to be!!! Horrible, the worst experience I ever had!!!

Don’t waste your time or money.

Beautiful resort inside and out. If that’s all that counts I’d rate it a 5. Sorry but service counts because of the Horrible restaurant service I’ve rated our stay a 2. Once your order is taken good luck trying to get further service. You would think the wait staff would return to the table to see if everything ok. Not once did this happen unless Mrs H was serving you. I think the 10% service charge is the problem. The servers get 10% whether the provider good service or not. On one instance I wasn’t served what I ordered. It took over 15 minutes to get someone’s attention. By then I ate it anyway. I could go on and on but why bother. Also had trouble getting hot water. Repair was required. In room safe did not unlock on 2 occasions. Made us late for lunch appointment. Door key cards/bracelet was disabled twice during our stay. Very inconvenient. Our first evening I ordered the lobster. Had to pay a surcharge of $50 US. This was in addition to the AI allotment. This made my meal $90 US in total. To make it worse the Lobster was tough and stringy. I complained about it but all they said was sorry and hope it’s better next time. Needless to say there will be no next time.

Honest Review

I have travelled all over the world and have stayed in many hotels. This hotel has some excellent reviews and that’s why we chose it. We have family links to St Lucia and have visited many times. PROS Excellent location, sitting on Reduit beach. Easy walk to Rodney Bay for shops, eateries & night life. Hourly shuttle from hotel. Dine around option in other local restaurants. Though even in empty restaurant - 2 hour wait. Razzmatazz was good and we had a short wait. Great kids club Loads of beach chairs and security guys always helpful. Lead by a friendly, kind General Manager Ms Erin. She is super nice Bar Staff mixed drinks expertly Waitresses friendly - Candi, Lisa,April lovely! Housekeeping & gardeners very friendly Rooms cleaned well Star of hotel is Charlene who runs some entertainment & kids club. All staff should be trained to her high standards, friendliness, communication skills. She has all the qualities one would expect. CONS Food service is slow (2hrs wait) Food very repetitive and mixture of buffet and service. Really hotel should stick to buffet. The wait is too long for service. Bar staff very moody. No banter and make you feel very unwelcomed and resented, but their interaction with locals on day visits very different! Reception staff very stern. There’s rarely a smile. There is too much emphasis on being professional - hospitality skills lost. Everything is whispered or mumbled. No sincerity! No first aid training around pool, no AED apparent, no life guard, just a number to call. Not particularly useful if someone drowning! Entertainment rather boring. Only one good night in 14 night stay. Rooms tired and some equipment over heating & not working properly. Maintenance response slow and nothing resolved. There are also some rooms facing a construction site! This is not a family friendly hotel. Unless using the lovely kids club, parents have to be extra vigilant. Quite a few guests we met were anxious to get back home. There is a lack of treats for children during the day. Mealtimes can sometimes be around 10pm. This hotel offers neither luxury, nor value for money….but I suppose we all have varying levels of standards we will expect/accept.

My stay at BGBR was splendid. The location was perfect, the staff was very accommodating and welcoming. The food was splendid. It was serene and relaxing. Perfect place to unwind

Family trip

The staff needs more training at the bar and in the food areas on recognizing what each band color means and how to respond to guess when questions pertaining to all inclusive meals and drinks I ask. They need to be trained to the knowledge level of Elsa and Gus
